I bought a brand new 3000 sq. ft. house in Kansas for $209K, and I only have to begin paying back this interest free loan at $500 per year beginning in 2011. Yeah, that’s still a great deal in my book.
As far as CA? Yeah, they’re morally screwed. Just move.
