I haven’t seen anyone else refer to this site, so forgive me if it’s old news.
I discoverd it while trying to sell our Temecula house last year and was starving for DATA !
All the agents showed us were old comps. and current listings then I found this site.
They seem to gather data to sell to lenders, brokers, Home Depot, etc.
I purchased a monthly summary from them and uploaded a spread sheet with the name of the buyer, the lender, the address of the property, the amount of the loan, the sale price of the house, etc. It was a great help in pricing our house because I finally knew what things were closing for and the data was only a week old. (They seem to have a week lag time between when a house actually closes and when the number shows up on their system.)
As a result of my past purchase I still get e-mails from them with a weekly update for the 92592 zip code telling me how many homes sell per week, the street name and sales price – If I want more info I have to pay for it, but this link is fun in and of its self because just by entering a zip code you can get a quick snapshot of number of units sold per month and median price (I know how you all feel about median price so don’t flame me…just sharing info.)
For those of us not in the know this is just an unbiased view of what’s going on in each zipcode…since this company is in the business of selling data they don’t hide any numbers like some of the agents we’ve dealt with.

I should have said “the web site gives you a snapshot of units sold per month and AVERAGE price”.
Gotta get my vocabulary right around here…
