If I manage to live long enough and have enough money to retire, why would I even want to consider moving to some “popular” area?
My whole idea of ‘retiring’ would be to move somewhere that’s semi-nice weather wise and far, far away from the current ‘trendy’ place to be. I want less people, not more.
I’m going to be “that guy” moving to the depopulated middle of the country where no one lives anymore. π
And I’m going to set myself up with a part time job of “predicting” housing/economic trends. I can pull numbers out of my backside to the tenth with the best of them. π

Good for you, LesBaer45! I know of a reasonable place in Lawrence, KS (with broadband access, of course) that’s perfect for you!!
Oh, and uh, there’s a storm cellar 40 feet to your right. Initially, it will be a little hard to open but . . . you’ll figure it out – LOL!
