Considering that democrats derive from the lower mental categories, and that we’re talking about SC here, which is obviously at the extreme low end of the mental acuity curve, it makes perfect sense.
You know what they say about SC… too small for a state, too big for an insane asylum.

In SC, poor dumb whites vote overwhelmingly Republican. (In 2008, non-college educated whites voted 78-21 for McCain.)
A bigger factor is that Greene is black, Rawl is white, and SC Democrats are mostly minorities.
