I think Chengde is very wonderful place to visit, and mostly undiscovered by western tourists (probably because of that four hour train ride)
There is SO much to see there, from the city wall to the temples, and the strange stone formations.
Yeah, and people are pretty humble and nice there i found out. Beijing is probably my favorite city, people are pretty nice there.
BTW: you really should block out you and your wife from your pix. Sorry, I didn’t think you would actually post “people” in the picture….otherwise I wouldn’t posted the previous comment about the “hottie wife that works at…”……though you did mention that in this blog yourself multiple times… I was gonna delete that comment for your sake, but can’t seem to delete that thread now…Sorry about that.My bad…(Yes, FLU does occasionally apologize ).
Actually, the highlight of my trip, was we me met an artist that is a friend of a friend. And he dragged us into an meeting with his friends at the 798 district. Really funny people.
Anyway, I had an interesting 4 hr train ride. The guy sitting next to me had two walnuts in his hand (with full shells)….and kept rubbing them (I guess out of relaxation)….for the entire 4 hr….I wanted to shoot him….
Edit….
Since we’re in a sharing mood.

It was a pita to take, especially with a point and shoot.

November 6, 2008 at 12:21 AM #299992stockstradrParticipantNice photo. I think that is an amazing temple complex. We spent a day visiting just that temple. However, we have not yet had a chance to visit its “big brother” in Lhasa, after which it was modeled.

Those were wonderful pictures, and you have a very beautiful family.
Your precious baby girl is absolutely adorable!!!! π
Though I agree with FLU about photos on the internet, it’s nice to see the “real” side of people, too. My husband posts pics of our family on his blogs (not housing related), and it bugs me, but he does it because he’s proud of his kids, so what can I say?
Thanks for sharing! π
