I want to put a yurt up to stay in for awhile, was told their not aloud in San Diego co. it this true?

I also looked into putting up a yurt on property in San Diego recently. There were some articles about yurts being taken down after inspectors said the yurts could not meet fire code.

If you want a permanent structure for guests to live in disguised as a tent so you can avoid pulling required permits and building to code, hopefully nobody dies cause you want to cut corners
