They don’t value the houses at ZERO as houses. The see the continuation of the project as a net loss. The financing options are gone. The infrastructure and fees needed to close out the permit on a a few vandalized houses in a development project that was supposed to be much larger is not worth it.This will get sold to a new developer at a discount if it hasn’t been already,it will sit for some time maybe or it might be turned into a different use. Ask Norris if you don’t believe me.It is a failed project, not a failure of value in houses across the board.

Of course there has been a real estate meltdown,this demolition is the wreckage. It’s a huge failure to tear down houses and shut down a project or realign it. It takes time for these thing to happen. There were long negotiations with the planning department, probably lots of lawyers involved to settle things between the lenders and the failed businesses involved. This is not the start of disaster it is part of clean-up.

These houses not getting built removes some downward pressure in the housing market. This is supply and demand common sense.

It is not that I want to spin everything. In this case it is you who is bending the signs of a housing market crash to excess.

Have a nice weekend. It’s a good time to buy a house.
