I enjoyed the Turning Point more than Blink.
Just finished Blink recently, and found it to be a chapter or two of “wow!, that’s interesting.” and then a lot of the same thereafter. But i did like the discussion of the Navy war-games and the different approaches the two sides took.
The basic message, “Trust your instincts.”
One later chapter that captured my interest was the one on prejudice (skin color/xenophobia). It’s the one instance where instincts will lead you astray. I liked that he offered a way to combat those ‘wrong’ instincts. It was so simple… bombard yourself with positive messages about whatever group you are prejudiced against.
Okay, now that i write all this… I guess I liked more of the book than I remembered at first.
