I just don’t see any reason to have a tax credit on a second home. If you can afford a second home, seems like you can afford to pay the taxes.

I think they should bring some of the military back from Europe and let Europe pay for their own army. That’s a place to start.

Nah. We have too many interests around the world and setting ourselves up. Easier to take money from citizens via property tax. All speculation at this point, but I agree w/Mike. Second homes are luxuries for many. Heck, some folks (investors) have many more than second homes. If they can afford multiple homes, they can afford the tax on them. Just seems fitting to take that away to pay for the real estate bailout. Whether TPTB actually do it is another thing.
