ParticipantAh, the party of tolerance practicing Agism.
Marion is not the party of tolerance. Assigning the opinions of each follower of any party to the whole party is exactly the kind of misdirection that starts to turn these debates into meaningless shouting. Must we do that?

ParticipantUnfortunately the two parties are socially/fiscally liberal and socially/fiscally conservative
I also consider myself fiscally conservative/socially liberal. But I don’t consider the republican party socially/fiscally conservative. The republican party has become socially conservative/fiscally liberal. Beyond liberal. Fiscally irresponsible. The democrats are also too liberal fiscally.
It absolutely boggles my mind that the socially liberal/fiscally conservative libertarian party isn’t a major party. It would make total sense and would a much better balance.
I totally agree. The actual real life libertarian party goes to far, I think, in its fiscal conservativeness and its social liberalness. Maybe that’s why it isn’t a major party. I think a more middle of the road, fiscally conservative/socially liberal party is a party whose time has come.

ParticipantObama’s “spiritual advisor” is a racist. Saying that Obama is not a racist is like saying that just because I hang out with some guys that wear sheets around a bonfire in the woods, I am not a racist.
That’s complete nonsense. What if you hang around members of the KKK because they work with you, or they bowl with you or they go to church with you? Does that make you a racist? No.
Obama AGREES with the Reverend Wright and his church and SIGNED a document stating as much.
Brutus, if you believe that Obama signed a document stating that he agrees with everything that Wright says, then the wool is rather easily pulled over your eyes.
Plus, as if that weren’t enough, he launched his bid for the presidency in the home of a notorious America-hating terrorist.
Brutus, you appear to have been bamboozled by Rush and Sean again. Check out this link:

Then there’s his big-mouth wife…
His wife is outspoken. Why is that a problem for you?
He’s trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
Brutus, if you don’t want to vote for Obama based on facts and issues and reality, that’s fine. If you’re going to vote, why base your vote on right-wing propaganda? Why not search for the truth instead?
He believes in the re-distribution of income. That is the essence of communism.
Redistribution of income would occur in the United States under any president. Any tax is a redistribution of wealth. Beyond that it’s a matter of degrees. Some presidents would prefer more than others. So, to say that anybody who believes in redistribution of wealth is a communist is to call all 43 presidents communists.
Socialism is a necessary step on the road to communism. I want us off that road before the US becomes the scene of communist-inspired genocide, just like every country where communists have taken over.
That’s even whackier than anything I’ve heard Rush or Sean say. You don’t really think that’s a possibility, do you?
Having Obama as president would be like electing Jimmy Carter to a second term.
Care to back that up with anything other than right-wing propaganda that doesn’t stand up to even a little scrutiny?
