Participantflu, I go to the Bridle Ridge sales offices occasionally. I rarely see anyone else there besides the sales agents.

ParticipantBridle Ridge is doing very poorly. I don’t think they sold any at their last release. As of this week they had 4 out of 5 from that release still available. Of course, they’re right under the power lines, but they had huge (for CV) lots with great views. I think they still have a bunch available from their first phase, also.

Participantsdgrrl,
That’s great stuff. Unfortunately, the internet has brought into existence a new era of ignorance, and there are plenty of people who would actually read that, believe it, and spread it. (First, they’d have to miss the obvious sarcasm, but they’re not looking for sarcasm. They’re looking for fodder for their attacks.) And next thing you know, it’s an established fact among the vast wasteland of fools who believe whatever they read (and want to believe) on the internet.
Before we had (somewhat) reliable news reporting, we had only rumors and propaganda. For a few decades, we had rumors and propaganda and some relatively reliable news outlets. Now we have rumors, propaganda, Fox News, a few reliable news outlets, and the behemoth internet. The internet, where any jackass who can type can put up a blog and type whatever the hell they want. And where millions of people read and believe whatever the hell they want regardless of whether it stands up to even a little bit of scrutiny.

ParticipantI think banning anyone for expressing his opinions is a bad idea.
I also think that jficquette, as someone else said, represents a huge portion of the population. He doesn’t see how partisan he is. He thinks he has information to back up what he says (until you call him on it; then he ignores you or says, “I don’t care what you think”). He can’t see his own hypocrisy, despite the fact that it’s pretty outrageous. There are millions just like him. And lots of them vote. So they’re important. And it’s important to try to understand them (if you want to understand this country).
I agree with New Renter about a new “active forum topics” set up. Maybe have an “Active forum topics” section which includes the four real estate-related topic areas and an “Active OT forum topics” right below it which includes all the off topic discussions.
