“A lot of people in America think there is a trust — that we take your money in payroll taxes and then we hold it for you and then when you retire, we give it back to you,” Bush said in a speech at the University of West Virginia at Parkersburg in 2005. “But that’s not the way it works,” Bush said. “There is no trust ‘fund’ — just IOUs….

ParticipantThanks, walter. I needed to hear that and it is true until a certain age when cooties on girls magically disappear and the young men who avoided them now start to shower and use cologne to attract the formerly cootie infested girls. It’s a miracle.

ParticipantBrian, clearly you do not care about average people who are going to get hit with higher taxes and inflation from all the cheap money that has been printed non- stop. A factor analysis of your posts shows you do not like most women, especially fat American women, you do not like people you consider beneath you (who support Palin), you do not like Southerners, you do not like Arizonians who defend their border and you do not like me. Rich made you play nice or we would not be having this conversation. Small businesses are dropping like flies. Let’s see how generous you are with your own money when the tax rate goes up exponentially to pay for all this excess charity. I am fundamentally against the bail outs because they are not going to add to the long term health of the country. When you give someone a crutch you weaken them and you cannot spend your way into prosperity.
