Participant
We went to Stater Bros. during the last strike, and will do the same this time.
Remember, today it’s “their” jobs that don’t matter; tomorrow, it’s your job that doesn’t matter.
They are hiring scabs for $10-$13/hr at Albertson’s. I’m sure that doesn’t include any benefits. Glad to know we’re all happy about the race to the bottom. :(
Yep. We went to Keil’s instead of vons last time. Still do the bulk of our shopping at Costco and Henries – places that show that non-union shops CAN behave well towards their employees.UCGal

Also, the OP could be sued super-badly by using protected classes.

Is this true in a roommate situation? The OP said that he was interviewing for a room rental in his house… I thought the fair housing act stuff was applied differently in roommate situations…. but I could be (and often am) wrong.Regardless, he’s limiting his options for great roommates if he rejects candidates based on ethnicity alone… It’s challenging to find compatible housemates… why eliminate for irrelevent reasons.

ParticipantIt makes sense that as boomers sell off and or readjust their portfolios in retirement, the equity market will contract.
Calculate Risk has a post up on this (and interesting comments on hoocoodanode).
