8 things you need to know about Obama and Rezkohttp://www.suntimes.com/news/watchdogs/757340,CST-NWS-watchdog24.article%5B/quote%5D
I thought this thread was about Palin? Why pull up an 18 month old article about Obama?Palin has a lot of rhetoric about fiscal conservativism – but as governor she was the queen of pork. Unlike Sanford, who had to be sued to take the stim money, she made a show of not taking it – then flipped and took all but a very small bit. Per capita, Alaska gets more fed $ than any other state. And their budget is not in the red anymore. She put in place high taxes on the oil companies (corporate taxation – not a good conservative principal.) And now that revenue stream has slowed since the price per barrel dropped.
// begin snark
yeah… I’m a social liberal (fiscal conservative) who tends to vote Dem… I’m quaking in fear of Palin. //snark.UCGal

You have it completely wrong. Liberals LOVE Palin. We don’t want her to go away. Ever. That should be your first clue that she is bad for conservatives and their movement.
I have to agree with AFX on this. Dems WANT her to be the candidate in 2012.UCGal

ParticipantWhat popped out at me from the article was that the dealer charged $250 for a tail-light lense. It seems to be that should pay for the entire assembly.
And… IIRC, you replace the bulb from the inside not by taking the outside plastic lense off. But it’s been a few years since I’ve had to do it.

Participant
And, I’m sorry, most every person I know of reasonable means would be at least a little bummed if their home value fell in half (okay, a lot bummed).
half off peak price or half off purchase price?
I agree, 99% of folks would be bummed if it’s the latter…
But if you purchased years ago, for much less, then half off peak doesn’t really matter since that’s not what you paid… unless, of coures, you had cashed out equity as the price was rising.
