Participant
Kaiser used to have a physical program that they used to state the examinees health age. That was neat. Probably a more fair test.
They still have it. It’s part of the full physical you can do every 5 years.I’m seriously overweight, like obese, but have a much lower health age than my chronological age. It’s because I have low cholesterol, BP, and good lung capacity. Kaiser still yelled at me to lose weight. LOL. They are right to yell at me – I need to lose weight. But at the moment (could change overnight) my weight is not a health risk.
And Brian is right – belly fat tends to be riskier than fat packed on elsewhere. I’ve got an hourglass/pear shape. (weebles wobble but they don’t fall down, lol). I don’t have control over where the fat ends up… but I’m glad it’s not on my belly.

Participant
One final point: If you prevail and obtain a judgment, you are still not done. You have to enforce the judgment and get your money. This is by no means an easy process and you should research the ins and outs of judgment enforcement. While the court awards a judgment, they do nothing to enforce it.
This!
I won a judgement. She didn’t pay. I served her to reappear… she told the LA county sherrif (where we tracked her down) that she wasn’t home. (We talked to the sheriff that tried to serve the subpoena… she had distinctive looks so we’re sure she answered the door.) 30 years later, I never saw a penny. In my case it was a motor vehicle accident (she was uninsured.) We went after her license. I suspect that didn’t affect her… I’m sure she continued to drive w/out a license. But at least I tried to collect.
Winning a judgement is just the first step in a process. It’s not a guarantee.
But it sounds like insurance might help you collect.

Even more interesting… WSJ have a different delegate count than those 3…
http://projects.wsj.com/campaign2012/delegatesThis is getting rediculous… NYT have different count too:
http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/primaries/delegatesSo, who’s right and who’s wrong?
I was doing some further digging into this and I think it’s because some of the caucuses were “non-binding”. Iowa, for example. So the delegates can (and probably will) change their vote as the process moves forward. The various news agencies are making predictive guesses for these non-bound delegates.
If it works like it did in WA state – the one time I participated in a caucus… The individual caucus elects delegates to the county… then at the county those delegates vote again – and that allots delegates to the state convention… and the state convention delegates vote in delegates to the national party convention.
In my case, in 1992, I was elected to be a Paul Tsongas delegate from my precinct – but Tsongas had dropped out of the race by the time the county convention happened – so I shifted my vote to the inevitable winner – Clinton. That was the last dem. caucus in WA state, by the way. Both caucuses on Tuesday night were NON-binding. And MO didn’t count at all – their real primary will be next month.

ParticipantThis house is contingent… bank hasn’t approved it yet.
You can offer any price on any property.
In a short sale – it goes contingent till the bank approves it.In another thread I mentioned I have two friends with offers in on short sales – but are SIGNIFICANTLY below the list price. One has been accepted by the seller – and is contingent waiting on the bank. If he gets it – he’ll get a deal. Others could have submitted offers just as aggressive as he did. But they didn’t.
The list price is just a suggestion. Make the offer on what you think it’s worth.
No one was harmed here. Everyone had a chance to bid in the window it was listed and an offer accepted.

ParticipantGood news on the bond claim. If you have clear proof, which it sounds like you do, the bond route is a good way to reduce your losses.
Your right about arbitration costing both parties. If it’s a large claim, it costs more… and if the other party can’t won’t pay you can either pay more (pay their portion) or the AAA will halt the process. IMO it’s a very consumer unfriendly system.

ParticipantThanks SD R and sdr.
He has already asked the listing agent to notify the legal department. All non-bank parties are well aware of the trustee sale date.
No other offers have come in that he knows of… but not sure how he’d know.
The seller seems anxious to have the short sale complete and avoid foreclosure.
