ParticipantI agree with the concept of living with it and maybe it will grow on you.
The house we just bought has brick floors in the entry, hallway, and bathroom. Originally I hated it and was going to replace. Having lived with it for a few months we have found we love it. With 2 big dogs, a cat, 2 adults, and 2 kids it does not show any dirt or signs of wear and it is really easy to clean.
We replaced the rest of the house flooring (I find carpet disgusting, totally grosses me out to know all that “stuff” I sweep up falls into the carpet and gets ground in for years) with a 12mm laminate that has a handscraped look, it goes great with the brick and our lifestyle…plus it was dirt cheap ($1.69 sq ft plus 0.20 for the underlayment).

ParticipantBF and I moved in together 6 months ago he had 2 skittish, unaffectionate, stand offish, cats. I had 2 dogs (crazy/ hyper weimaraners). My dogs are weird one is afraid of the cats and the other wants to play.
They were 2 male neutered cats (2 and 3 years old) who were previously house cats in a 2nd story condo. Within a month of moving into our house one of the cats got out, freaked, hung out in the back yard for 2 days and when we came near ran into a culvert known to be traversed by coyotes. We have not seen him since….
The other cat is now affectionate and friendly. He hangs out with us and plays with one of the dogs.
I am in no way recommending that you throw one of the cats to the coyotes, but….

ParticipantI am voting AGAINST Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi. The country is in decline the state is broke and they have been at the helm. I am over it. Stop voting in the same da#$ people over and over. It is pathetic that the choices are as poor as they are, but I will not continue to reward these beasts by handing them the election because I do not like their competition.
Our president wants change, I will do my part to hand it to him.
Exception, I am voting for Keith Blackburn for mayor in Carlsbad, even though he is currently on the city council. He has actually made an attempt to stand up to Mayor Bud and may be beneficial.
