I think the drunken stupor party over isn’t. It might be just starting… I wonder what Europe will do… Seems to me it’s going to force their hand….

I would agree with this, the party just moved on to the next bar down the road (not likely to end any time soon IMO as well).
IMO they are not building near enough homes in SD so a large decline is just not likely.
marginal buyers with little to nothing down, not happening.

ParticipantThe most interesting thing about the vote yesterday to me was that in almost every state with a higher minimum wage measure it “passed”.
Even in red states.
I think that sends a pretty clear message.
Top down did not work, time to give bottom up a try.And Silver dropping again, I got stopped out yesterday so I am out !

ParticipantI would agree We definitely need much high minimum wage link to inflation so it does not run backwards like it has for the last 30 years.

ParticipantIt’s fairly easy for U.S. citizens to emigrate to Australia or Canada.
Good luck.
Commodities have been getting crushed BTW.
Australia and Canada. are running huge deficits as well.

ParticipantWhat happens if after a few years we don’t see an asset price crash ?
Will the Fed haters admit they were wrong ?
(my guess is no).I think the USA will be fine IMO.
BTW I only have a very small investment in silver and do not think it is a great investment really. As well I think RE will be of more a supply/demand thing from here so I don’t see huge upside as well, maybe 3-5% a year from here on average IMO.

ParticipantTwo things I believe
1)I believe the Fed has absolute control over interest rates (if it wants to).2)Congress has absolute control over Fed minimum wage.
Japan saw deflation because it’s pension earning population wanted it that way.
The real masters of the universe in controlling wages and inflation however are the Chinese

ParticipantI am thinking a small truck with a 4 cylinder, really I don’t need a F-150 .
I know pathetic.

ParticipantYep nearing 5 year low.
Think I will buy a little silver.
Gold still looks expensive to me however.

ParticipantI still got a good vibe feeling going for USA,
IE economy starting to ramp up these days (fastest growing economic area in California now).
L.A. ports at record volume.
Manufacturing being on shored now.
Feels good to me.
I think I will buy a little silver just because (nearing 5 year low).

ParticipantI am going out on a limb here and say USA recession not likely in 2015.
L.A. port cannot even keep up with the imports coming in (which is as I understand it going to set a record this year).
But if housing continues to slow down I think the Fed will hit the QE panic button again.

ParticipantIf you can get into one of the 4 or 5 hospitals set-up to handle this type of thing.
I still say we get 150 cases at the same time I will really start to worry.

ParticipantLong de-stressing walks on the beach,
SD has an ideal climate for long walks on the beach.
And nice beaches to take those walks.The-Shoveler
Participantsure Yep nothing to worry about

Man Dies Aboard Flight from Nigeria to JFK

A plane reportedly arrived at JFK International Airport with a dead passenger, who entered a vomiting fit while en route to New York. The Centers for Disease Control determined the passenger did not have Ebola.The-Shoveler
Participant
My take on ebola is that we have everything in this country at our disposal to make sure it doesn’t become a big outbreak problem.
I would agree with this with the exception if we somehow mess up and somehow got 150 cases at the same time, I think it could out strip our ability to control and handle.
At that point I would really start to worry.
