ParticipantRDeniro hit the nail on the head, the Clintons are good at what they do and getting McCain elected is exactly what she wants for the reasons Deniro listed.
I’m so ready for a third party, I don’t like any of the three enough to get excited. Politics aside, I just don’t think I can make it through an entire term with Hillary on the radio every day without some form of mood altering elevating precription drug, her voice makes my skin crawl. Obama has a calming voice, McCain is like listening to the guys at the barber shop but Hillary will definately cause me to buy lots of cd’s and avoid all media outlets. A month ago I thought Obama had it in the bag but Hillary is going to prevent it.
Maybe I’ll go with sattelite radio and just ignore politics for a decade.
Before we get all bent out of shape, the federal government has so little influence on our real lives, I want more freeways and that’s all I want from the government, the fed doesn’t build freeways so it is of little concern to me. I want the guy who runs the company that built all the freeways in L.A. after the earthquake in a month to president.

ParticipantBaron, Morgan is very nice and is just starting to hit the high 3’s but they sell when they hit. I’d buy there when the sub 3k sq fters hit sub 300k, I love the clubhouse, hate the taxes there. You will find 350k on a 5br no problem and you are right they are getting closer by the day. The actual models at the end of tudal were all huge and went for just over 4 recently, there was a 1 story in that tract was big. Not many other tracts in there have 1 story homes, so your selection is limited. There are some huge 1 story places on huge lots just behing morgan, in morgan valley but I’m not sure you are part of the association or get clubhouse access. they went sold in the 7’s and 8’s, now the shorts and repos can be found in the 4’s, but over 4k sq ft one story homes on a third of an acre, they are unique.

Youve got all that bubble money, just wait for these to hit 500k and go for it, ultimate mancaves, the third car garage is motorhome height. They sold for a mil new, so 500k is not out of the question, these are the kind of places that would make even mee utter the words “interest only loan please.”

those aren’t garages, those are like airplane hangers, you could put a hydraullic lift in there, I need to take a cold shower now.

ParticipantOh god, open space people, open space is another word for fire space. dharma, they have been kicking around the offramp idea for a few years, the trouble has more to do with the giant granite mountains in the way rather than critters. One plan is to have an offramp near the BP checkpoint and go around and through morgan at butterfield straight up through to hemet, the other is just to go straight to the casino and that’s it, keeping gamblers from even needing to enter the city since the casino is the first thing they would come to. My guess is direct offramp will win since both ideas need indian land and they will be more likely to give it up to increase casino access than commuter access to french valley and hemet. Plus all the merchants on Winchester aren’t fired up to let everyone bypass the city and it will ruin Morgan Hill, cutting it half with a major road. Locals win either way, spreads things out. There was an article in the paper today about the widening of pechanga parkway costing 30% less than they had allocated, a benefit from the housing bust is that construction of infrastructure is cheaper, I think it is going to cost them 8.9 mil instead of 12 mil that they budgeted for it, they got 11 bids and all but one was under 10 mil. hopefully a lot more will get done while things are cheap and the open space people cant complain because all the critters are already dead from the fire. What open space people dont get is that firefighters cant defend open space, you need a road and some water pipes to defend it, which is better, a road going through the habitat or having them all burned up every couple of years and that open space does burn every few years, it gets put out as soon at reaches the first road or golf course, every time.

ParticipantYou are correct on all points, find the area you like, the school you like and rent, there are going to be some good times ahead. I use foreclosure.com, some use foreclosure radar, I can tel you that about two months ago the nods, nots and sheriff sales ratcheted up significantly. I’ve checked them weekly for two yeas but never saved the data. The amount of trustee sales seemd to double in any given week over last year’s, they update them sporadically so it looks like a bunch in a day (so just look at the week overall) and they miss quite a few but comparing their somewhat reliable data to their somewhat reliable data from before, I’d say there are twice as many in the pipeline now compared to a year ago. The mid 4’s to the mid 3’s is an easy jump and very realistic, even now the mid 3’s can get you almost anything if you look hard enough. I did a similar thing, I have a set housing budget and price target, as things go down my options go up, it’s now to the point that a condo two years ago will get me a mcmansion today, I have reached the point of diminishing returns, further price declines no longer move me into larger or better neighborhoods, I’m already there, now it just lowers my mortgage. What are you looking at in the 4’s?
