ParticipantMy apologies matt, I was typing angry and a little of it had nothing to do with you, fight over, hugs.
I still think that we need to pay closer attention to the cycle here, we will unfortunatlety be the trend leader so it’s harder to predict, you may see our overcorrection in the next 24 months, maybe sooner, that’s not NAR and that does not apply to S.D. but it’s getting silly cheap and like Ren said, there will be bottom so prep yourself now because once people in vegas or pehonix can move here because it is cheaper, the clock will tick. Actually I am frustrated with how fast they are selling, the really well priced ones are gone before I can look at them and it’s pissing me off. Inventory has declined for two months, I haven’t updated the three car garage monitor but it stands at 80 today, the lowest in a while, two months ago it was over a hundred and has been declining since. I know it’s the spring bounce and that there are more on the way but the ones I really like are being priced 10-20% below 2003, the numbers work well and I still hesitate and it still goes down yet the bounce should be ending. I wait in part because of my alter ego matt and a few others who i am influenced by, so in the end I’ll probably thank you. Or if you are wrong I’ll punch you.
But your point is taken, I am far too self indulgent, flippant and arrogant, and those are my positive attributes, I’ll tone it down.
Side note, I too took a break from work and watched much of the open, in my opinion, it was Tiger’s greatest victory. My whole office stopped for the final two holes, people who didn’t know what a birdie is were watching, you would have thought we were landing on the moon or a war started. He was hurt, limping, behind going into the last few holes and managed to tie the overtime 18 holes and pulled it out in the end in sudden death, it was the stuff movies are made of. For those of you who have never watched golf because you thnk it is boring, the superbowl had nothing on today, it was a rare treat and I am convinced that tiger is now the greatest golfer to ever play the game. I was in arnie’s army, followed Watson, Ben and studied the greats as a kid but it’s Tiger’s world and we are all just living in it.

ParticipantI said I drive her to church, I didn’t say I go inside, the holy water burns and my hair catches on fire. I drink with the sailors in the parking lot and we ogle the fake breasts on the women in their escalades.
Good thing we have you here to stop all the wicked lies I spread, like your genius link regarding Abbot being the largest employer in city limits, not Pechanga. Pechanga has nearly twice the employees of Abbot (even though Abbot jobs are much better jobs) and Pechanga is the 5th largest employer in the County (2nd largest private employer)and the largest in The Temecula Valley. Where you are right is on a technicality, indian reservations aren’t in cities, they are autonomous “nations” even if they are within a city or adjacent to one, just like a military base, but their economic impact as it relates to real estate, tourism or employment is just the same. Wikipedia has it at 7500 employees, the county says 5500 but that was printed in 2005, it’s probably somewhere in between.
The apartments on La Paz are not apartments, they are individually owned condos. Temecula Creek Villas is the only apartment building in the 79S corridor and they aren’t cheap (1/2 are owned codos the building to the East, 1/2 are apartments to the West).
What other wicked lies do you need to call me on, what other false info am I spewing. Take the chip off your shoulder and for god’s sake don’t complain that my insinuation that you are too pessimistic is an insult, they were jabs, I counted at least five direct insults from you in your last post and few were funny or any more creative than calling me a “poo poo head.”
You got a few things right, I am cocky, I do like chinese food, I like women who look like porn stars, you got me pegged.

ParticipantMatt, there is a reason you aren’t as popular as I, no need for me to point it out but since you took me on point by point I will respond. For being nearly a two decade Temeculan it suprises me how unhappy you are here, how much signs of wealth or cosmetically enhanced women bother you, I say bring it on. We have a few years, one of us will be right, but for now we can agree to disagree.
Abbot is not the largest employer, Pechanga is, in fact it is the largest in the County, zero apartments within walking distance of it.
Lets see..spanish speakers, check the demographics on the state school website, other than the two elem schools near apartments on Solano and in Old Town, it’s a negligible amount, look at Redhawk Elem, Jackson, Pauba, Tobin or any of the other schools in the 40k plus population South Temecula that has one apartment building which is high end anyway and still not walkable to a grocery store. Those schools have scores, english language learner and free lunch numbers comparable to Poway and San Digueto districts.
Did I design the city? No. But I have employed “live in” maids over the years and there was no way to get them to their family or to services so that is where that “data” is from. While city transit services have improved, a mile walk to a store is not like you will find in Escondido. Have you been on Ash Street in Esco, name one area of Temecula where you will not find a blond kid in the school, visit Escondido, please.
Truth is, the town you loved isn’t as small as you remember anymore and for that you hate it. We have been here the same amount of time and it hasn’t bothered me to see growth and change, it’s different, not better or worse but different, the crime increased slightly but is still ranks amongst any suburb and has more officers per resident than any town in San Diego County with the exception of Carlsbad (which it is tied with).
You want a hangover of the excess that came from S.D and O.C., but it will be saved by it’s charm as not being as bad as other areas. We travel in different circles, but I assure you there are plenty of people like myself, people that earn six figure salaries and don’t commute or pay for gas, for that reason and that reason alone it will survive, with or without you, but it will not turn into the crime ridden area you yearn for. Seriously, you can get a golf course view for 300k now, how bad do you think it will get? I’ve been drinking, as is common on weekends so I will end my rant, but tomorrow, work permitting I’ll reread these points and counter each and every one. While I’m away, name the cheap apartments near S. 79 that you can walk to a grocery store. They don’t exist. I hope you have a chunk of change stored away matt, this correction isn’t going to last forever, you have a year, maybe two and then you will be priced out forever, that’s not me being bullish, that’s the cold reality. After that it is “welcome to hemet.”
You want proof of the importation of the elderly to satisfy low income housing, you are invited to go to church and have breakfast with my grandmother and I, who lives in city owned elderly housing that I learned of from the city who was desperate to keep it’s federal road tax money and needed the elderly who lived on social security. they also dropped a few million on the senior center, one of the reasons she would never accept my offer to live rent free at my place beacuse there is so much to do in her neck of the woods.
I haven’t bought back in, i think there is another 10% or more to go, but if you need 20 cents on the dollar to buy a house, good luck with that.
Your quality of life may have decreased, mine has gone up, I wanted a mall, restaraunts, stuff to do, cosmetically enhanced women to leer at and if the 22’s bother you, get 23’s.
These latest numbers will seperate the reverse flippers from the posers, waiting hawk was a prime example of someone who waited for their time. South Temecula has reached $100 a square, for me, my dream house is two years pay, that is just silly by any mathematical formula, if and when San Diegans can buy a nice house with good schools for two years pay, this site will be a piece of history and I firmly believe that day will come.

South Temecula has reached $100 a square, for me, my dream house is two years pay, that is just silly by any mathematical formula, if and when San Diegans can buy a nice house with good schools for two years pay, this site will be a piece of history and I firmly believe that day will come.

waiting hawk, that’s my new phrase for your purchase. You realize that you may still have a small percentage downside risk but your homework and deal has minimized your risk, you reached for a a falling knife but chose one that wasn’t very sharp. I want royalties and productuion credit if this phrase hits the main stream media. I take that back, I want to meet Diana Olick. I’m calling the copyright office right now, this is my ticket.
