ParticipantIt’s a good thing that the allergy doesn’t extend to cigars, that would be tragic and reason enough to find a good alergist. Now that you know what it means, you are going to notice it everywhere until the no cal kids think of a new name for the hippy lettuce.

ParticipantAs much as I loved Carlin it was today that I heard my favorite Carlin quote. The radio replyed a recent interview where he talked about death and said that he reads obituaries a lot these days and he would like his written now so he can read it and edit it. Then he said he didn’t want an obituary or an epitaph, we wanted someone to rent a billboard and just list his name and the phrase “He was just here a minute ago.”
It is poetic that he just won or was about to receive the Mark Twain award for Lifetime Acheivement in American Comedy and the first thing I thought of when I heard of his death was the Mark Twain quote “Live your life in such a way that when you die, even the undertaker will be sorry.” George did just that, I’ll miss him.

Participantsdduuuude, I read your theory three times and I like it. You are onto something and with your permission I’m going to use “HS” as in my daily language. The repos are coming in real fast right now, this fall may be the last straw in many areas, next fall in the remainder, after that the bulk of the F.B.’s will have shaken out and the quality of loans began increasing a year or two ago and only good loans are entering the pipeline right now, which supports the 2010 at a tapering time. I’ll be watching and will raise my glass to the HS phase.

ParticipantIt is not a police code and it’s origin is nothing other than some high school kids made it up because that is the time of day they would meet to smoke back in 1971. Shockingly it was in Northern California, San Rafael to be exact. Like most doper legends, the story drifts from the truth over time and few of the people that use the term know it’s true origin.

Wiki even credits it on the city page, I bet that makes the city elders so proud.
