ParticipantJust playing Al, btw I was reading the bill Simmons mailbag on espn and that was one of the topics, it made me think of you. I was wrong, she lived to 103. I was starting to get on their bandwagon and then he fired Kiffin, if history prevails, Kiffin will now go on to win a ring with another team. I think the niners found their savior in Singletary, I just think that if Al finds the right coach, he will fire him. There is one silver lining, the fact that no west coast NFL team has a winning record has turned me into a huge NBA fan. The influx of all the euro and asian players has changed the style and made the game more exciting (only about half the lakers grew up in the USA). Beating the celtics on Christmas was awesome.

Participantpizza-love the place, great price for a spread like that.
waiting-nice cabin, love the video on the tree, you need to wait on the primary just because of all the work you are doing.
davelj, I don’t know why you are pessemistic, those are good numbers. less than 100x rent multiplier, I think a decade from now you will look back and call it a “steal.”
For all of you who are fixing up a repo I discovered a $2.50 walmart item that is a godsend. In the paint and spackle ailse, there is a yellow and black rubber tool for installing caulk. You use it to smooth out the caulk, it makes it look perfect once you get the hang of it. While I didn’t have to gut my place like waitinghawk (the former owners did that for me) I have felt like I am rebuilding a house.
The other purchase that I love is the shower head from Costco dot com for $100. It has l.e.d. light in it that are powered by the water movement and the color of the light matches the water temperature so you know when to get in, it’s awesome.

ParticipantSDR, you can root for the Chargers but for god sake don’t bet on them. 9 points is too much to lay, I’ll take a quote from ESPN’s Bill Simmons
“Broncos (+9) over CHARGERS
Seriously, should a team that came within a fumbled onside kick of going 5-9 be favored by nine points over anyone? And if that’s not enough, remember, you don’t want to be laying nine and see that split-screen of Norv and Shanahan. You really don’t.”Just watch the game and keep you money out of it. There are four active coaches in all of sports that I never gamble against because more than 50% of the time they can beat you, with or without talent. Bill Belichick, Mike Shanahan, Pete Carrol and Phil Jackson. They don’t always win, they don’t always field the best team, but they get you more than half the time and in head to head sports wagering you need to win more than half of your bets.
I think Allan is right, if the chargers back into the playoffs (which I think they will), they will be dangerous because they have no pressure on them and even though they are less talented this year than in the recent past, they seem to have more heart.
Hey Allan, did you hear Al Davis’ mom lived to something like 106. I’m not sure who has more people rooting for their death, Al Davis or Fidel Castro. I’m beginning to wonder if both will outlive me and I will never see the raiders in the playoffs or buy a legal cuban cigar, let alone both.

Participantscardeycat, yes. Not just a specific neighborhood but within a few square miles (specific school boundaries). I considered three developments, but primarily two developments which included about twenty tracts. I wanted a small yard and a great view (and a 3 car garage that wasn’t tandem). That’s just me, everyone’s lifestyle and stage in life dictactes differents need, what is important is to identify exactly what you want and stalk it like a cat.
I had other needs but they are minor, I wanted a seperate bath for each of my two teenagers, so 3 1/2 or 4 bath was another obstacle that thinned the available houses.
