ParticipantFunny someone would bring up the tab, here’s a story I have to tell, it illustrates how fiscally responsible the piggingtom crowd is.
So I figure this site saved me about 300k, i went into the bar with the intention of picking up the tab but not revealing that fact until it was over (in my experience, that knowledge can alter peoples ordering habits and ultimately my bill). I also wanted to keep it below $300, so I told the server my intentions at the onset, told him not to reveal it and a few times throughout the evening I checked the damage. 2/3 the way through the damage was still under $200 so I never checked again. As it looked like the the majority was about to leave I checked in with the server, handed him my credit card and the bill had shrunk well below $100. Since I had never seen tabs shrink I asked questions, I had ordered a bottle of wine, hot wings, about 5 pints of guinness, everything a growing boy needs (thank goodness I had a hotel room nearby). All that remained was pretty much my tab. My Karma intentions were foiled by all these responsible people, I have never found such people in large groups. The server said people just kept giving him money and splitting off tabs. He actually apologized that everyone had paid. I still owe the karma gods, but it looks like I’ll have to find another way and I’ll drink with you people anytime.
Just had to share.

ParticipantQuite a few posters brought their spouses and despite not being familiar with many screen names or our blog personalities, they had a lot of fun and were a lot of fun, in fact the crew that left last was about 75% couples.
In retrospect, the one thing I remember most was how nice and how interesting everyone was. Like CBAD mentioned, you actually had to make an effort to move around and meet people but every person you did meet you could talk to and drink with all night. Maybe my expectations were too low, but what a fun group. You had to force yourself to move around and mingle, next thing you knew it was almost 10. The guinness was good, piggington chicks are hot, nobody beat up sdrealtor, I didn’t end up with my underwear on my head, good times.

ParticipantWould you get to be hurt/mad at the family friend/agent if your B.I.L. had bought the crappy overpriced fixer. How do you know he wasn’t getting something for steering him that way.
That’s the trouble with family friend/agents, everyone has one, but not everyone’s friend is the best realtor.
I wouldn’t bring a buyer’s agent to a house I found myself, I’d pay a smaller amount for a professional to negotiate the deal, but the full 3% to write the offer? hell no, that 3% comes off the net when the seller evaluates the offers. So you are actually paying them 6k for two hours of work. If I had to make a list of people who I would pay 6k for two hours of work for me, only porn stars and surgeons would make that list.
