ParticipantNone of the above. On another thread regarding the surgeon general, you talked about being an example, well, be one. Having the ability to avoid the temptation of apple pie is worthless when you cannot resist the temptation of taking something that you didn’t earn.
What is it, I have come to understand karma, I have come to the point in my journey that I realize how important it is to love yourself, be the guy you look up to and understand that riches will never bring you respect. I have a dedicated windex bottle and roll of paper towels near my bathroom mirror, just to clean my mirror after kissing myself in it, cause I loves me some me and I kiss myself often. In the real world, I’m a hero, every guy wants to be me, I wasn’t born this way, I was given good advice and it is my obligation to relay that advice to others, nothing I say is original, it is all recycled. Giving people advice to be the same way as those you have no respect for will give them the same results.
brian, it’s in you brother, I see the internal conflicts in some of your posts. You despise greed and fear, but it takes over sometimes. Watch out for envy as well. Just wake up tomorrow and be the best person you can be, give more than you take, and at the end of the day, if you don’t like it, if karma doesn’t reward you, go back to being part of the problem, I’ll still accept you, because I’ll know you still have it in you, you just haven’t figured it out yet.

ParticipantThis is an old thread, but the first piece of advice still stands. No judge will rule against a tennant trying to protect themsleves and not looking to get anything for free, nor will any god, nor will karma. I gave that advice a while ago because when my landlord stopped paying the mortgage I was given similar advice. I was tempted with a few months free rent, but opted to make myself whole, lose nothing and gain nothing, then move on. Karma rewarded me for my honorable behavior, a younger TG would have toyed with Karma, then gotten F(*&^ed by her. I like being older, wiser TG, with the exception of the declining vision and obvious prostate issues of aging, youth and greed is is an affliction, not an attribute.

ParticipantOk, question, it is along the lines of some of the answers but it’s a different twist. The house I bought has square footage that doesn’t match the tax roll. It was a tract house and there was an option to add an additional bedroom and bathroom over the garage and a loft upstairs when it was new. The original buyer opted for the additional space, making it 400 sq ft bigger. It’s obvious that it wasn’t done afterwards because it changed the roof and a number of things on the exterior since that area is above the garage. When it was appraised the appraiser obviously didn’t measure because he/she came up with the exact amount of sq ft as the tax roll. Running a zillow of the tract it seems that most of the model matches with the same additional sq ft are not recorded as such, at least 20 are in the same situation.
So here’s the question, does it matter? Should I contact the county and have them change the tax roll, they seem a little busy at the moment with all the value changes. It wont change my taxes because that is based on purchase price and nothing has changed since it was inspected and built, it is more of a typo than anything and in my years of searching and evaluating properties, I’ve found it in other tracts and developments where the tax roll was just wrong. Is there any benefit to rectifying it? Any downside?

ParticipantObese? I actually was unaware of the appointment so I ran a yahoo image search of Dr. Regina Benjamin. She is not obese, maybe a little thick, certainly beans and rice didn’t miss her but she doesn’t qualify as obese because based on her pictures (not the government’s version of obesity, but a heterosexual man’s) because her bust size exceeds her waist size. While she doesn’t neccesarily do it for me, She fit in the formula I have spent years creating. Just like financial formulas, formulas for objectifying women are just as fun. O.K., here’s the secret, it’s taken me years to perfect it but it’s simple. There are three measurements used for women, usually in inches, bust size, waist size and hips, in that order. As long as the middle number is smaller that the other two, it’s all good, reagardless of the size of the numbers, the larger the difference, the better. I believe the modern day poet, sir mixx alot, said it best: “36-24-36, only if she’s 5’3″”
