ParticipantHey agnes, I’d be real careful spamming on this site, it looks like a bunch of financial geeks from the outside but the largest demographic is tech geeks. I’m friends with some of them, they get really mad and if they are drinking they send viruses to the inbox of the spammed link’s “contact us” e-mail. Do me a favor, I’ll get them to hold off and you get the f&%$ out of here, deal?

ParticipantOne alternative is to get two bids to repair the structural issue and that alone, ask for that amount to be knocked off the price (not cash, they hate that even though it’s all the same). In writing, inform them of the issue and your request (now they cannot tell the next guy they were unaware), maybe even threaten to tell the next guy if it goes down that road. They have two choices, accept your discovery and new price or tell you to pound sand and go to #2 on that list, seems like you win either way but you need to be prepared to not get that house. BTW, how expensive/extensive did your inspector say it was?

ParticipantI say do it, especially since you already have to do something. I bought a dead lawner and suprisingly within a few weeks of watering it, it came back to life. Had it not, I would have gone fake in the back. HOA’s are starting to come around, mine allows xeriscapes in the front now as long as you submit plans. Do some research as to the various loose materials they use to keep it fluffed up. My kid plays football on an artificial turf field and they use ground tire bits, it smells horrible and gets everywhere in the house, it looks like someone spilled a pepper shaker, avoid that kind if they even use that for residential use.

ParticipantI gotta give threadkiller a sacrifice fly, to keep him from being the last poster, I know he stats these.
Diego it is curious that the posts are somewhat evasive, if either of them post a response and then mention that they found some great company that helped them for a nominal fee, then posted a link I would be impressed with that. A time release spam ad, that would be cool since tax lowering services have been exposed as scams of late. Your spidey senses are very acute.
threadkiller, I know it was said partially in jest, but that is my latest worry, it is the only conspiracy theory i subscribe to, I think think the powers that be may see inflation as the only cure at some point, if it were to happen I would think it was intentional.
