Wow, if this is true, this is awesome!

Asking his supporters to stop it…excellent!
He’s “fine” with same-sex marriage.
He’s gonna ask Comey to explain himself.
And he’d prefer popular vote to the Electoral College:These are all statements he apparently made this weekend…
This man may have some major integrity after all…perhaps the months leading up to the election were just peacocking…
let’s give the man a chance…
“He was lying all along, therefore he has major integrity!”
Just when you think the mental gymnastics could not get more contorted…
Hmmm. I see your point. Should have left out the word “major”.

svelteParticipantAnd doubly confounding that the markets are OK today. So far. This is exactly why I could never be a day trader. Extremely hard to figure out what the markets will do next.
svelteParticipant
… but i think this is actually a historic event, maybe bigger than 9/11. the end of politics as we knew it.
Yes it is historic. It definitely says the Republican party is on the move. I have been of the opinion that the Rep party would splinter so badly it would need reconstructing with some new type of coalition…but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Trump deconstructed it in one fell swoop and can reconstruct it in the next four years. New theory of mine, it may not hold water.
Another thing pointed out on TV last night – America has a history of giving one party the Presidency for a couple of terms, then going to the other party. Probably because those out of power get so frustrated they’ll all get behind anything that is halfway of their stripe. I think there is a great deal of that going on here too.
But it runs deeper…the Rep voters didn’t go with an establishment candidate, they went off the board. No matter what his warts are, they wanted a fresh start. Were they right in going that direction? I’m not convinced, but I’ve certainly been wrong before…as I said last night, willing to give him a chance. After all, what choice do I have? 🙂
svelteParticipant

Totally, totally shocked by this outcome.
Also totally not a Trump fan, and I think the American public has been duped.
But I’m willing to be open minded and give him a chance. He is now our President. Let’s see what he’s got. Congratulations to our new leader.
ok. lets do it. lower my taxes.
…while balancing the budget. Isn’t that what the Republicans want?

svelteParticipantI’ve been following the swing states pretty carefully too, and here is my prediction:
FL – Clinton
OH – Trump
PA – Clinton
MI – Clinton
NH – ? very unclear to me
NC – Trump
NV – Clinton
WI – Clinton
IA – Trump
VA – Clinton
ME – Clinton
AZ – Trump
CO – Clinton
NM – ClintonA couple of those predictions go against current polling, but mail-in ballot stats influenced my prediction (mainly NV and FL).
And so it goes.
In mere hours, we’ll know if we’re led by Clown 1 or Clown 2.
svelteParticipant
In your case, getting the HOA on board is key.
This can be a huge time expense and also doesn’t give you much power – your vote is only 1 out of 5 and when the rest of the board is filled with kooks with agendas, then you could be screwed no matter what.
Worse yet, no one will remember who voted in which direction, so your name will be associated with any zany path the board heads.
Been there, done that.

The critiria I have are simple. No race involved.
No criminal record
No eviction
Verifiable income by employer via business fax or phone. Copy of paystub not good enough
Move in at beginning of month. No desperate immediate move-in
“No criminal record”
You are apparently in violation of HUD guidance.

Will Darrel Issa survive this November?
Obama makes it a point to campaign against Darrell Issa –
Issa, Obama said, is one of the Republicans he blames for fanning the flames that created Donald Trump, and is now trying to run from Trump as the polls plummet. The California Republican is also one of those kind of Republicans, according to Obama, who spits fire at him and then shows up with family members for pictures at the White House Christmas party every year.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/obama-issa-darrell-230218%5B/quote%5DThat article is great! I saw a photo of that flier – could not believe that the man who blasted Obama week and week month after month filled his flier with a huge photo of Obama…that says Issa is VERY worried about his prospects!
Glad Obama called him out on it.
And you know those annoying car alarms that go off whenever anyone glances at the car? That’s how Issa made his millions – car alarms. Viper if I’m not mistaken. Now every time I hear him slamming Obama from his perch in Congress his words sound like a car alarm to me – crying wolf over a nonexistent threat.

Looks like there is a push for this right now:
However, that may be due to the heat of the political campaign at the moment. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues in another year or two.

“Toastmasters”
All the guys I knew early in my career who got involved with this became CEO’s and CFO’s etc…
Public speaking in general I think becomes very lucrative.
I was in Toastmasters for a couple of years. Very good organization that taught me a lot.
Highly recommended.
svelteParticipantSeems like everyone missed Clintons best comment in Debate 3. When Trump said that all Hillary did was talk for 30 years and didn’t get anything done, she said:
“You know, back in the 1970s, I worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, and I was taking on discrimination against African-American kids in schools. He was getting sued by the Justice Department for racial discrimination in his apartment buildings.”
“In the 1980s, I was working to reform the schools in Arkansas. He was borrowing $14 million from his father to start his businesses. In the 1990s, I went to Beijing and I said women’s rights are human rights. He insulted a former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado, called her an eating machine. And on the day when I was in the Situation Room, monitoring the raid that brought Osama bin Laden to justice, he was hosting the ‘Celebrity Apprentice.'”
That is the perfect comeback. Especially love that last sentence!
Harkens back to the “I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. You’re no Jack Kennedy” debate comeback from decades past.
