How to make sure that the money donated to charity is distributed equitably? What if United Way gets 90% of the donations and ends up with money it can’t use, and Podunk Unified School District ends up with zippo squat?

Would “approved” charities have to spend their money in a specific way or in specific (and multiple) places to guarantee that it’s distributed throughout the state?

I’m aware. I’m also aware that typical pressure tanks only have 50-100 gal capacity, some of which can’t be used once the pump stops due to pressure drop in the tank as water is used.

Absolutely — but those risks should be people’s private business. They shouldn’t be an excuse for harassment by the public, which knows nothing of the real situation.

Yeah, instances of actual harassment (quid-pro-quo in the same workplace) and even assault exist, but there also should be an expectation of privacy.

Most relationships don’t end up lasting. This being said, I know quite a few people who married co-workers and are very happy. Would you deny them their happiness in the name of another Puritanical taboo?

This taboo can be taken to absurd proportions. Two doctors working for different hospitals shouldn’t date if one is a manager, because the relationship might advance (or harm) the non-manager’s career if they ever decide to apply to the other hospital.

Why consume just to destroy? The tree farms could be re-forested with tall trees if there were no demand for Christmas trees.

Maybe this is evidence that what most Californians and Northeasterners want isn’t the same as what people in Oklahoma and Mississippi want. Maybe the world would be better with Calexit, NYexit, etc. Almost 240 years is a pretty good lifespan for a united country — why do we need to be tied to each other forever? The Union shouldn’t be a suicide pact, sometimes amicable divorce is the best option.

(1) There’s reputable research stating that women are actually MORE interested in sex than men.
(2) I’ve met quite a few women who weren’t shy about expressing their interest. They weren’t “we need a contract for everything” overly political over-thinkers either. Made things much, much easier — I’ve found the nebulousness and need to play games to be more irritating than fun. Nothing better than a woman who can express what she wants without playing head games.

Interesting, despite the US’s reputation for forwardness, white/American women tend to be more coy than others. I think it’s partly due to US media that tells people that the man has to chase, the woman has to be hard to get.

That’s an argument for … more sex. Or even (maybe) for social acceptance of mistresses and boytoys outside of marriage. It’s much less stigmatized outside the US. Husband and wife could raise kids in a stable home while still having fun in bed, if not with each other.

Both men and women are interested in sex. It’s OK. We’re designed to be. If G-d didn’t intend us to enjoy it, she’d have designed us to work something like: we need to have sex, or we die. (Sort of like ferrets, or Vulcan Pon Farr.)

Stop conditioning women that interest in sex is something bad, evil, or “slutty.” There’s nothing wrong with being interested in sex — in fact, this country would likely be a better place if people have more time for good sex (and proper knowledge of/lack of shame about birth control).

Why the Puritanical view that sex is something people should be less interested in? The issue is CONSENT, not sex. If women were conditioned to be more clear about what they wanted and when the were interested, things would be a lot less ambiguous regarding consent.
