Participant

I use 30 and at most 50. I like the spray on. It is not cost effective but fast easy and not sticky or greasy at all
the spray on is great for arms and legs not so great for face.
Watch out for the recalls on some sprays. some ended up being carcinogen…Oh the irony…
the one I like are the sunblock sticks that are like rollon deodorant.
spray on hand, rub on face 🙂

H1-B EB-2, typically reserved for Masters/PHD and more heavily skilled people.
Anyway, the guy closed escrow last week and moved in this week. Nice home. Living the american dream…at least a preview to it…pretty happy to be here.
Sure, but no guarantee he will ever get a green card, not that it is necessary. Best bet is to marry a US citizen.
It’s Utah! He can marry a few!

ParticipantYes bingo night at our clubhouse was a rousing success! Although the kids were pissed when some 85 yr old ringer took home the $200 pot with only one $2 card

ParticipantGuess the heat is getting to you and you couldn’t stay away. Welcome back!
Is that a net number or simply those that left? If it’s only those that left, well you know it’s meaningless without knowing how many came. I keep seeing new businesses popping up everywhere around town which is what those of us in SD care about.
The demise of CA is oft reported. It’s the conservatives favorite trope to trot out in the news every few months. Has been for decades
If we were on the east coast comparing SD to bay area would be like comparing Philadelphia to Charleston South Carolina

ParticipantNew listings 14 – slow but steady flow though seems skewed to high end
New Pendings of 26 – demand keeps chugging along
Thats -12!
Closed sales at 20 –
Price reductions at 5 – If you shot to high with your initial asking price its obvious now
Total houses for sale 66 with median of $2.3M.
Inventory fell slightly but new listings falling and steady demand so inventory likely to continue falling for the rest of the year
sdrealtor
ParticipantBoth true. Those prices are a few months back. Lately it has cooled but that just means a few offers instead of a dozen. I’ll update my monitors later but it looks like we will chug along through the end of the year with a solid but calmer market but come Spring all bets are off again
FWIW threads like this remind me how impatient people are and ignore how powerful the passage of time is. The older I get the more I learn it may be the most powerful force of all

Participant
Yeah, well I was one of the people that actually took some money off to the side to be a little more cautious. But you know when I did that, it wasn’t significant enough to save my accounts when the markets declined…since when the markets declined the rest of my portfolio took a hit…at the same time, when the markets climbed fast, my portfolio didn’t climb as fast…Slow going up fastcoming down still…Story of my life….I should have just left things alone…
50-60% is impressive. I think my 1 year underperformed @ 27%
50-60% would have been nice. no early retirement for me…
Im sure you did great. Part of that roughly 60% was leveraged real estate though it wasn’t highly leveraged. Someone highly leveraged on real estate would’ve done amazing also. I’m sure we know at least one or two of those also
sdrealtor
ParticipantYup, net worth is up 60% since this post and increasing daily mostly through regular tried and true relatively conservative investments.

ParticipantStill too soon?
