ParticipantI wonder why you were surprised? I just looked at CL posting and the picures looks like what you describe. Given the location, size of the lot, acceptance of pets and everything else its not a bad deal. Certainly not for everyone but you shouldnt even have gone to look at it based upon the pictures.

ParticipantI’m not seeing it and I wouldnt get involved in a transaction like that. If one of my clients wanted to do that, I would try to refer them to an attorney and tell them to go ahead without me. Too much liability on my part that I couldnt control.

ParticipantI saw a write up about this week or two ago. It is actually supposed to be a new upscale concept store that Wal Mart is testing. Not sure what that means though…………

ParticipantA good friend of mine is a design engineer for one of the major automakers. The Cayman has been a sales disaster from Day 1. Discounts on it say nothing about the economy and everything about a lousy design.

ParticipantIt is still irrelant. Once again, the actual number is meaningless. What is important is the trend. I run the statisitcis function which also misses out on any listings that have sq ft listed as zero or have no sq ftage listed. All this is meaningless IMO. Watch the trend, that is what is important.
FWIW: Most of those listings your mentioning say something like this “LENDER OWNED…NOT A SHORT SALE” which is just another type of a distress sale. Actually, its beyond distressed already……..
