ParticipantThanks for the compliment rockem…
As you know our good friend on Countryhaven crashed and burned and cancelled his listing.
Perry/Cardiff, I agree with you guys, in social situations I don’t say much when the topic comes up. If I am asked I say I think it is going down but I don’t engage in long conversations. However in those same conversations I do recommend this site to people.

Participantanx I think that a very large percentage of licensees already have/had jobs in many other sectors. For instance I have done a deal with a Century 21 agent who is and has been a dj on rock 105.3 for ages and ages… I know bartenders, waitresses, engineers, hair stylists, and countless other people who are licensed. Most of them do not practice and are not employed by a broker… some of them are. My point is that they already have employment elsewhere and it has been that way for a long time. For mortgage brokers, I am not so sure.
I assume your question is with regards to the full time 100% no other career licensed agent. I would imagine they will move to another career.
Hey if the recession is as big as people think it is going to be, there will be plenty of career changes that will be happening for lots of people.

ParticipantAlex, some of us replied to your post in a rational manner with no name calling. I agree with you that name calling is not appropriate.
Would you care to address my response to your post?

ParticipantFSD agreed… if the landlord sells a home he does have the liability to stick to the lease contract that he had originated with the tenants. Sometimes landlords will buy out the lease agreement of tenants or the lease is transferred to the new owner and the deposit money is conveyed in escrow from current landlord to new landlord. Remember though, if you are a tenant and your lease contract has expired you are essentially on a month to month agreement.
In the case of a foreclosure I am pretty sure all bets are off.
