ParticipantMy public school education in NYC sucked largely because I was primarily focused on trying to touch girls.

ParticipantI don’t intend to ever own this free and clear.
I will be dead before 2043.
I have accepted the fact that a low monthly payment and maybe some equity will be all i can achieve in this lifetime.I Think it was fantasies of actual ownership free and clear that were holding me back from buying…

Participantim pretty sure we are the people others dont like…i’ll probably be immediately ousted if i formed an hoa.

ParticipantWe don’t have an HOA in our distinct Tract, but I was thinking about trying to form a loose free association, just to have contact w more neighbors.
Maybe set up a Facebook page and hand out flyers? Have a BBQ?
I was thinking of trying to organize under the general idea of Safety. Disaster preparedness ? There’s a very old man across the street who should really have my number.

Sorry, but it sounds the same to me. If you want to be original, you’re screwed in such area. If you like to conform, then such area would be great. I paid for my house with my money, so I don’t like to have people tell me what I can and can’t do with my house, be it paint, window covering, trees, etc.
Conform? Can’t be original? Please.
Yes, there are certain things you cannot do. It’s intentional, because while you might think your original thinking is grand – everyone else on the block might disagree.
Want to do whatever you feel like, and are happy for your neighbors to do the same? Don’t buy into an HOA.
Want the general scheme of the neighborhood to be kept, the parks maintained, no RVs in front of your house, no satellite dishes on every roof, no cars parked on the front lawn, no crazy paint jobs, etc? An HOA might be attractive.
You wouldn’t be upset if your neighbor painted their house hot pink, their fence snot green, put a car up on blocks on the front lawn, and a 30 foot satellite dish in their backyard?
I’ve seen some crazy stuff driving around looking for houses. You might like your neighbors style today… you might not your next, and good luck selling if you live next to the circus.
I would dig a snot green fence. I’d like a wine bottle fence…stacked green bottles. I’d love a cactus fence.
I would prefer a turquoise house. Pink is second choice

Participant
Well speaking of up and coming neighborhoods + Asian super markets.
They got a “88 ranch” opening up on the corner of Rancho California road and Ynez Road in Temecula (Yea OK I know it’s not same as ranch-99). But with a little luck they will put a few more Asia restaurants in there as well.
We need a good dim-sum place.Anyone know where you can get good Dim sum on a Sunday morning in TV ?
Also lately I know more people commuting from SD north country into Temecula Valley for work then the other way, but I am fairly sure I am the exception, but at the same time I think it indicates a trend as well.
Plus TV is getting a little air time, they got a Storage wars episode where they show “the gambler” living in Temecula.
The golden bowl on the 79 is really good pho.
I think temecula might be ready for a super high end coffee place something artisanal and super cool.

ParticipantI vote for the coin because it is hilarious. I expected paper dollars from a helicopter. I was not expecting one coin. It iwould truly be a beautiful piece of theatre.

Participantthe problem with eccos and other shoes is that the soles are not really flexible, they’re too thick, you have no ground feel, there is still some cramping of the toes, though less and you are not flat on the ground.
any lift from the heel affects posture, gait and shortens tendons.
the reason women become addicted to high heels is they’ve distorted their leg tendons so much and so long that they actually do feel uncomfortable when they stop wearing them.
bunions, caused by shoes. tight shoes. women get corrective surgery and get right back to miniscule shoes.
shoes are dangerous, not as dangerous as guns, but scary.
i used to wonder how in the hell women in China could put up witht he foot binding when i heard about it as a little kid.
then i grew up and reaslized we basically dothe same thing here, though we hobble women less.
movement needs to be integrated into daily life. women’s shoes are antithetical to that important goal.

Participantwe are probably not going to ever get anywhere discussing this.
it’s probably like asking people on cars to be more careful around cyclists.
gun shooters figure they can just go out and shoot around as long as they don’t specifically point the thing at you. so be it.
i guess i better get armed and return fire when walking about.
maybe a nice assault rifle. blow those motherfuckers apart…

Participantthey were shooting with a vector in our direction, not up in the air.
not airsoft guns, loud ass guns.
this was an open area.
airsoft wouldve been irresponsible.
airsoft outdoors is usually in a defined space, not just out and about.
im not arguing here outlaw guns.
im saying dont just shoot guns in the general direction of people walking around.
if that’s unreasonable, then, well, i guess im unreasonable.

ParticipantFriend house shopping says there’s no houses for sale in temecula relatively, and competition is fierce …
I looked the other day for my usual Redfin searches and would not be able to pay asking prices for comparable houses because I would vomit.
Well to be honest I guess I was vomiting a few years ago too.
I think the govt is controlling Americans and forcing them to buy houses. And outguns guns are useless to protect us against govt mind contrOl and asset theft through inflation.
Surrender.
