ParticipantIt’s poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mmm – but she blinded me with science
“She blinded me with science!”
And failed me in biologyWhen I’m dancing close to her
“Blinding me with science – science!”
I can smell the chemicals
“Blinding me with science – science!”
“Science!”
“Science!”Mmm – but it’s poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mmm – but she blinded me with science
And failed me in geometryWhen she’s dancing next to me
“Blinding me with science – science!”
“Science!”
I can hear machinery
“Blinding me with science – science!”
“Science!”It’s poetry in motion
And now she’s making love to me
The spheres’re in commotion
The elements in harmony
She blinded me with science
“She blinded me with science!”
And hit me with technologyscaredyclassic
Participanti didnt know parents mattered in those things autistic. i know a guy who is very very organized, hyperorganized, and demanding of order, and he has an autistic kid. i wonder if that is correlated somehow.

Participant

I’m pretty rational but I used to believe the universe was sending me signs. Once I was lost in a major city in the middle of the night and I put some money in a gumball type machine and received…..a compass….woah!
Mere coincidence?
It would be very difficult to persuade me so.
Movie scene:
Setting: bad part of town in the middle of the night

ParticipantStill, anecdotes…or rather, stories and the emotions they trigger, are how we are wired to understand the world.
Well most of us anyway. Except for the brain I as of piggington.

ParticipantKilling is too soft. Maybe some kind of bizarre sexual torture in a prison on their territory?
Aw shoot we tried that too.
Man these guys just don’t get it.

Participantmaye the best thing to invest in is egg baskets, since people need lots of different baskets for all their eggs.
it would be nice if one could invest in a mutual fund of mutual fund profits…

Which is why I’d say most do political talk/answer and most pander. At the presidential level, I would go as far as saying all.
This is one of the reasons vaccination conspiracy theories exist. Our government has lost the trust of the citizens and it’s credibility by being caught in telling so many lies. Even if you’re completely enamored with your political party and believe their lies, you still think the other party lies about everything.
THIS.
this isnt about vaccinations. vaccinations are justa proxy for a deeper groundswell of mistrust.
yeah its nuts, but people r nuts … this is not about science or vaccinatons even. this is about soem deeper feeling that people feel they have lost control of their lives.
also, since everyone is a special snowflake in this world nowadays, it gives parents a way to “differentiate” themselves…I don’t know. i think its not a rational thing at this point. its past that. you might as well argue witch science in salem in the 1600s.

ParticipantThe cliche is no one ever says on their deathbed man I wish I spent more time at the office.
Maybe it should be ” stressing about messes”.

ParticipantFirst you’re good to take care of your mom.
Second not to be too morbid but if her life expectancy is short would it be better to rent esp. Since its her needs that are driving the purchase?

Participantthere are no longer any investments. everything is a bet

Participantalso i feel like the superdisch taught us that perhaps it’s best to be conservative with our investments.
