Participant

This thread comes across as if all accusations made against adults supervising kids are false.
While it is wise that you all protect yourself from false claims (look at Dale Akiki for proof on why that is necessary), I would like to point out that it really does happen.
I can tell you from being on the receiving end from my jr high counselor. I was able to stop him before it became physical, but from what I learned later others weren’t as fortunate. From my experience with his actions behind closed doors, I can tell you their claims are true.
I don’t think anyone is disagreeing that real things do happen, and unfortunately it happens more often than we as parents would like…. But it’s just that if you do volunteer, you don’t want to be the one that puts in your time and effort volunteering in something and end up being one the rare cases that you are falsely accused of something you didn’t do.. Because if you ever end up in that situation, I’d say most parents would be biased and think something did happen, even if it didn’t. I admit I would be biased and give more weight to the accuser. Also, even if you didn’t do anything, and though accusations were proven false, you would be stuck with that reputation for a long long time…Which reminds me…Taking a GoPro camera wherever you go isn’t such a bad idea these days….
taking a gopro camera is definitely a bad idea to do if you actually are a child molestor however…

Participant
People are going to have bad days. People are going to get stressed and make bad decisions.
The real problem isn’t the stressed guy overreacting, it’s the blue brotherhood that ignores it. There were multiple officers in the video…
Probably multiple officers at the other scenes too in his excuses…
Apparently none of them will police there own or pull a coworker aside to say you need to go decompress
That’s the real danger and problem.
snitches get stitches.

Participant

The real estate market seems to be on fire right now. Just talked to a realtor yesterday about one of their listings on 1/2acre. 6 offers in the 1st week. All cash offer was excepted over $50,000 asking price. He said it was fortunate it was a cash offer because the place would’ve never appraised for that much.
I’d say this is a good argument for NOT buying in Temecula right now.
The main reason to buy somewhere like Temecula is value. If you’re not getting great bang for the buck, I don’t see a great reason to pull the trigger on buying a place there.
I disagree. I think prices are too high, but it’s not just for value. Temecula is happening.
There is nightlife. World class shows. Good food. I am not exaggerating. It’s a great city.scaredyclassic

ParticipantFrankly the asking prices look ridiculously high to me lately on ads I see now and then But I don’t know anything. I would not pay asking prices around here.

ParticipantI don’t have data but I believe bad feet are related to falling risk in elderly. Our feet just suck on average.
If I were president I would start a natl. Foot health initiative.

ParticipantShoes get me really riled up.
My kids spent most of their home schooled days barefoot.
Footwear gets me angered.
I despise how women pretend high heels are c9mfortable.
I loathe men’s dress shoes.
We laugh at Chinese footbinding, yet do the same thing to a lesser degree. I hate shoes so much.

ParticipantShoes make feet reek. That’s stuff GROWING.

ParticipantDirt washes off.
Feet are filthy from being in a damp sweaty cage.

ParticipantImagine if schools required children to wear thick winter gloves that made their hands sweat and made it difficult to feel.
Rificulous right?
But why OK to do it to the foot?
