Participant

Yep. I’ve been telling people that if Bernie didn’t make it past Clinton’s firewall, Trump would win in November.
LOL I was saying the same thing.
I am staging my own personal revolt by writing in Bernie.
As a long-time, die-hard Bernie Sanders supporter, I understand your choice to write in his name. I’ve heard that it’s important to write out his full name, along with the VP pick for his ticket (both were required in order to get him qualified as a write-in candidate).
Bernard “Bernie” Sanders (for President)
Tulsi Gabbard (for Vice President)Not sure how things would be affected if Tulsi’s name were left off, so I recommend that you include both names. Please share this information with anyone else who might want to write him in.
He officially qualified for write-in status just a couple of days ago. FWIW, he has not asked to be included as a W/I candidate, and has expressed to certain people that he did not want to be included. This write-in effort was a 100% volunteer effort by people who love Bernie and couldn’t see themselves voting for any other candidate.
Some of us (myself, included) have been trying to discourage the write-in campaign because he has made it clear that he didn’t want to do it, and because we feel that it’s more important at this point in time to break the monopoly of our two-party system. For this reason, many of us former Bernie supporters are going to be voting for Jill Stein (a few will be voting for Johnson) because we want to reach the 5% threshold, at which point they will be entitled to federal funding, and will have a more viable path to office.
Just my 2 cents.
agreed. thats why i voted for jill stein. also shes kind of…hot…

Woman in the rain holding a sign “save a baby vote for trump”.
I guess on the bright side banning abortion will be good in terms of providing work for future lawyers. The babies who would have been aborted are more likely to be future criminals.

there are only 27 films in all of history that have done over 1 billion worldwide. itd be huge and hugely unlikely to have just 1 film in a lifetime make a billion.
Not that flyer needs my help but I think he said $1Bn in revenue, not just box office sales. Films also make money in other ways like product licensing/merchandising, broadcast rights, DVD/ Home Video sales, etc.. Also he didn’t say what he did and indicated he was part of a group. That group could be a large company like Dreamworks, or Miramax, or MGM.
Also, I don’t think it’s hugely unlikely to have 1 film in a lifetime make a billion. I would like to see the list and see how many of those were within my lifetime.
According to the chart below, scaredy is absolutely correct regarding the number of films that have grossed $1B+ in the worldwide market. As previously mentioned, thanks to my wife’s connections in the business, our group has invested in several over the past years, and we look forward to continuing to do so.

id think the big gains are betting on the unexpected hits, not the blockbusters.

Participant

Completely understand your points. We have also studied these differences, as well as other elements that enable us to maximize appeal to all generations, as they apply to our international film business, given our goal is to generate $1B+ per film in global box office as often as possible. It’s challenging, but we’ve found it can be done.
Interesting, what types of films do you produce?
