If the Government of America, the Corporations and the People of America cared about well paying manufacturing jobs then we would not have decaying hollowed-out shells where booming factories once added value to American lives or dieing cities; but rather productive factories AND JOBS! Did I mention jobs?
Look at Germany and you are immediately proven wrong and ignorant. Highly unionized, highly paid and highly benefited workers in a country kicking manufacturing ass!
Unions are not the problem (not saying they are perfect by any means) or pay or benefits, the problem is too many people just itching for a dumb excuse to “get theirs” without any thought of their country and fellow worker.
Import buyers come up with the most creative (and BS laden) excuses for why they did not support one of the last remaining US manufacturing industries.
