You should buy an Android smart phone to support flu. 🙂
I think the Win7 phones are pretty cool too.
Unfortunately, two of the devices that I use the modem with do not have bluetooth (a laptop and netbook). Once those become outdated and I replace them, I’m sure I’ll ditch the modem.
I’m looking at Android phones. My issue is usually the screen. I need it to be readable in daylight, and they usually aren’t, or at least not without giving me a headache.

Participant
Ren, on a non-smart phone, the data plan is $15/month unlimited with AT&T. $10/month if you have family text plan.
I don’t have a smart phone, but keep shopping for one, and they’re still not quite where I want them to be. I know Internet is cheap through the phone, but I briefly used it that way in the past, and the convenience of the modem is worth the extra money for me.

ParticipantSpeaking of AT&T, I’ve heard terrible things about them for years, and I’ll be the first customer to jump ship if/when I start getting calls dropped, but that just never happens to me. I’ve never had a problem with them, and in fact have made calls in the middle of nowhere in Baja and even Death Valley. Connection and sound quality has a lot to do with your phone/antenna, not just your network. Research phones before you buy, and get one where the “phone” feature is well-reviewed and not just added as an afterthought to a very small computer. In other words, if it is to be used primarily as a phone, you don’t want an iPhone.
