Participantthe only bigger waste is the viking stove.
I bought the sears OEM branded LG fridge, $600 with rebate,
compared to 1400 for the LG, and, i bought the GE Duel Fuel convection oven,
both are portable, so if i choose, i can move with them, or include
them in the sale or rental of the house.people just went insane, on kitchen remodels,
and it’s cost them their houses now.i splurged buying corian counters as opposed to formica,
but, i figure the lifetime easy maintenance was worth it.patb

ParticipantI don’t know i f a100 year mortgage can be considered traditional.
The japanese didn’t do IO’s or neg-am, but they were stretching out the life
of mortgages something maniacal. Now the reason people don’t kibosh on debt in japan, is there is
effectively no bankruptcy statute.Western tradition allows debts to be forgiven every 7 years, which was
also the length of indentred servitude, which was the term for bankruptcy
cycles. The Asian tradition is that bankruptcy is a permanent stain on not just
you but your children. If you go bust, the chance of your kids
marrying drops significantly.August 17, 2007 at 11:31 AM in reply to: Are we gonna experience the same Japanese Housing Burst at 1991? #77154patb

Participantit’s not Fraud.
It’s Barratry.
You can’t transfer the same 1/8 to a different company, but, you
can transfer 1/8th into 8 different companies.each one files bankruptcy in term.
Now, what the bank can do to short circuit this.
Sell the mortgage to an LLC. Bankrupt the LLC,
this forces all the shells to come to Bankruptcy court
the Judge then says the only asset of this LLC is the mortgage on a
defaulted property, i order this property sold the bankruptcy court
does the sale, bypasses the shells, forces them into unsecured status
and the LLC gets the whatever it can get from the sale and
pays it’s debts to the Bank.Jeez, I should be a lawyer

ParticipantI didn’t believe the Housing bubble press on how great it was in 2004
and i never believed the press on how great the iraq war was
going in 2003.the analysis tool i used on housing was the case shiller index
and the analysis tool i use on Iraq is the casualty trend graph.
from http://www.icasualties.org or http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~stephan/USfatalities.html each one showed the iraq occupation was going
badly, even when DoD was outright lying.the trend was all you needed to know to see it would end badly.
