Participantresidential use is a small fraction of the water budget.
Don’t fall for the propaganda – it’s just another way to fleece the middle class. Most likely to prop up underfunded govt worker pension funds as usual.

ParticipantVW is in this position because of excessive regulations/taxes.
Regulations are a form of taxes.

ParticipantI looked at 4Runner’s before buying my Sequoia, and there was plenty of inventory new and used. 4wd/awd and 2wd. No issues at all.
In fact, I almost drove home in a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Limited AWD – but decided they just don’t have enough room for our needs.
They are nice though…

Participant
I remember this because I had been considering buying a decent (used) 4WD 4-Runner for several years and they are very scarce (for good reason).
They’re not really scarce, although they should be in so cal since 99% of drivers in so cal will never need or even use 4wd. It’s a waste of money.

Participantnot to mention the all to frequent idiot shopping cart pushers who seem hell bent on breaking your ankle.

ParticipantI looked at a GL450 before buying my Sequoia, but given my experience with BMW I’m not buying any Euro cars.

Participant
Just to squeak out a little vent here, the militarization and nationalism agendas at the public schools are still the most bothersome items. That and recruiting kids for commercial efforts aka, fundraisers and “gift” store days.
Makes it clear our country sees children as military pieces and consumers on strings and wants the kids to see themselves that way too. The same old get them while they are young.

Agreed. Have you been to a padres game lately? Wow – instead of ‘take me out to the ballpark’ they played ‘God Bless America’ which I’m all for, but not at a padres game. I am convinced that fascism in America has arrived.
Fascsim=Hyper-nationalism and merger corp/state.

Participant
WRT to an imminent recession, does it make sense to look at this stuff on Freight? Never hear that talked about on pIggs, but it’s still something that old guys watch.
I don’t know much about this stuff, but I asked an old , very old friend earlier in the year and he said freight was down and that is if doesn’t come back up , we will probably get a recession. I think China has been trending down over that last year or so too.
I think this may relate to part of the Dow Theory:

ParticipantAccording to a forbes analysis, we are not entering a bear market.
Forbes:
My current analysis indicates that it is too early to conclude that we have entered a new bear market. The economy continues to look positive and there are signs that the consumer’s positive outlook will trigger good spending in the months ahead. By the end of the year we need to see better data on manufacturing which is needed to keep the economy in a positive trend.
The stock market will need at least 2-3 weeks of rallies and declines before it could bottom out.
