ParticipantUniversity of Ca. imposes pay freeze…on non-unionized employees. I can just hear some of those employees in their break rooms asking each other why they didn’t join a Union.

Participant

Pandemic need worldwide cooperation but those effen evangelicals/rapture folks like pompeo see one world government every move we make towards a world community.
We should be helping our southern neighbors more if only to keep the virus from moving north.
Typically US would take leadership on this. A competent US President would have gotten the ball rolling in mid January.
Also doesnt help when the cdc head is a hack.

Participant
I’m prepared for a zombie apocolypse. I dug a trench around my house and ran a propane gas line around the perimeter. If I need to, I turn on the gas line attached to my.portable propane tanks, light it up, and have Kentucky Fried Zombies for dinner.
I can see that you have watched ZERO zombie movies. Lighting zombies on fire does not kill them. They will stumble into your trench until enough of them fill your trench (forming a bridge) and then the walking flaming zombies will set your house on fire. NEVER USE FIRE ON ZOMBIES NEAR WHERE YOU LIVE.

I know pathetic.IMO the world wide Lock-down’s will be viewed in the future as an overreaction that caused untold suffering and misery unnecessarily especially in poorer countries.
And could have been avoided just using sensible less drastic measures.
Keep an eye on Latin america.

Participant

What I see in these fearful predictions of urban real estate prices and people’s desire to move away from urban centers is…
acceptance that our government and institutions are unable to protect us from future pandemics. Gee, I wonder why that would be.
Do you mean this globally or just the US?
Ultimately US. America first and a 6 time bankrupt businessman prevent any hope for the time being.

Participant… hell any decent mid manager would already be thinking about how to prevent the NEXT pandemic.
