Are they going aluminum? Like the F-150. Should find a way to quiet the ride before going for more horsepower. I do like our 2006 Grand Touring model, just have to turn the Bose up on the freeway to drown out the ambient noise.
moneymakerParticipant30 year at 3.1%, Wow! Is it time to borrow? Already refi’d, should I do it again? Got 3.5% on 15 year right now. https://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=%5ETYX+Interactive#symbol=%5Etyx;range=20050407,20140827;compare=;indicator=volume;charttype=area;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=; I guess it’s not as low as it seems.
moneymakerParticipantInterestingly neat freaks and hoarders are usually both OCD. I’m the type that likes to have 2 of everything, does that make me a hoarder? 5 years ago, just after moving in I created a survival kit in a 32 gallon trash can. Now of course all the food is tossable and I loathe to go through it and spend the time, in hindsight it was a waste of time and money, but had we had the “Big One”, it would have been wise and prudent.
moneymakerParticipantI only have 2 questions. Who was Michael Johnson? Like really who was he in character? Was he shot in the back? It is unique in that if he was shot in the back the police have no leg to stand on. Almost always they can say someone was in possession of a deadly weapon, but I don’t think so in this case.
moneymakerParticipantSeems to me that more and more people have pets these days. Maybe because so many people wait too long to have kids, then can’t. There’s hardly a place downtown that doesn’t allow pets it seems. There are some places downtown where there are so many dogs getting walked that the smell of urine can be down right overwhelming outside on the sidewalks.
moneymakerParticipantDrip systems are awesome. I just started doing it and am having excellent results along with less water usage.More water to the roots with less runoff to surrounding dirt.
moneymakerParticipantIt can’t be as expensive as boat paint! Used house paint on my little 14 footer, mainly to make it match the house but also because real boat paint is like $150 a gallon. It’s on a trailer and sees little action so have not actually water tested it yet.
moneymakerParticipantGet 2 more quotes, see if they are relatively close. I had to replace one of ours and was surprised how expensive the part was, ceramic disc=expensive. Unfortunately it is probably not worth your time to take them to court, unless you enjoy that sort of thing i guess. You are getting more out of it than you paid in so don’t be too greedy, especially if it says fixtures are not covered. didn’t read above post-sounds like diverter is definitely covered. When ours broke it was in the open position so had to shut off the main to keep the hot water from coming out, until fixed. Me personally I would take the check and fix it myself, but that’s just how I am.
moneymakerParticipantI actually like subway sandwiches, they have a coupon out now where you can get any foot long for $5. In my quest for a $5 lunch (on days I’m not packing) it is getting really hard to find a filling lunch at or below $5. I don’t know how that huge thing fits in my stomach, but it does. If you use their app you get a free cookie I believe, but that takes a little more planning.
moneymakerParticipantI used to make my own shakes, heck i even used to work at Baskin Robbins ice cream, then my wife started making my shakes. I guess I grew dependent on her, now when I’m out working I use a coupon to save $1 and really like the real ice cream with whip cream on top, I’m also supporting a minimum wage worker out there somewhere. As penance I will be eating salad for dinner for a week. $1.99 for 3 lbs of prepared iceberg salad at Costco.
moneymakerParticipantDidn’t even make it 24 hours. Had an Oreo cookie shake from a fast food place with my bag lunch today. I thought buying American made products was hard, it’s even harder to go without paying taxes.
moneymakerParticipantOk fine, I will get back in when the S&P reaches down to 1800.
moneymakerParticipantI think I might have a cure, anybody want to be a test subject? Amazing how quickly the doctor died in Africa, sounds like it is a lot more deadly than AIDS. The WIKI is very detailed on the subject. I was in Africa in 1987 and was vomiting and throwing up simultaneously, good thing I was unaware of Ebola at the time or I probably would have been freaking out.
moneymakerParticipantI was originally “threadkiller”, i.e. the last word. Then i got tired of having the last word and became moneymaker. Just made it up out of thin air (hey if the government can do it, then so can I), I’m not the world famous poker player or a counterfeiter. Although I did just buy “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Poker” for 50¢ at the local library sale, so there is hope for me yet. Have had some good luck with money, but not the kind that wins the lottery.
