ParticipantI think it can pretty much be boiled down to 3 classes of people, those that don’t work, those that have to work (or as is fondly said these days “get to work” ), and those that don’t have to work. Most of us are pretty much in the “get to work” class.

ParticipantInteresting timing as I was feeling similar as another birthday passed yesterday. My wife kept asking me want I wanted and other than another surfboard which we both know would probably just sit around I felt like I don’t need any thing else material. Being married kinda rules out the “get a new girlfriend” option, highly recommended for the single guys here however. I’ve come to the conclusion that most of us don’t get the sense of satisfaction that is inherent in producing something patentable. So for me I’m going to do some gardening, take some DHEA, and find a creative outlet to channel my energy into. Oh yeah you could also get a motorcycle and a really nice leather outfit.

ParticipantLast raise 0.8%, the lowest I’ve ever gotten,even though eval was good. I wonder if they start getting some calls from the competition about employment verification if I might not get a better raise next year. P.S> The company raised their prices 8%.
