ParticipantCommunism brought us Chernobyl…so what’s your point? That massive government is the solution to preventing disasters? Seriously?

ParticipantI was the head brewer at a brewpub for 4 years back in the 90’s. At the time I used to home brew quite a bit of mead.
Hence, my life was all about “mead and ale”. The nickname stuck.

Try the $2 and $100 wines side by side and tell me if you can tell the difference, or if the difference is worth $98.
Yes, I can.
The difference between a $20 wine and a $100 wine is much more subtle than the difference between a $2 wine and a $20 bottle. That’s why I typically buy midpriced wine and stay away from both the high end and the low end.

The wineries high on the wine snobs’ list as producing the best: Wilson Creek, Wiens, Callaway, Leonesse, and maybe Monte de Oro (it is new, jury is still out).
I’d have to take exception to that one…didn’t think their wines were as good as they (the winery) thought they were. Especially for a $12 tasting fee and the rudest cashier I’ve ever met.
However the parking lot was full…but I know there will be at least one extra spot in the future…since I won’t be back 🙂
