ParticipantSeems to me that the first dozen dates are supposed to be about getting to know each other, which can be done sitting on a park bench, taking a walk or having coffee. If you are defining the success of the dates by how often or how deeply he digs into his wallet, you are most definitely a gold digger.
Any woman that tells me that I have to spend money on her to show her that I care is being shown the door. How about I bring you breakfast in bed? Hide silly greeting cards in your purse to surprise you? Care for you when you are sick? Seems that those types of behaviors are more of a display of love and romance than buying you an expensive dinner.
Most of the things that REALLY matter and show you care in a relationship are free or inexpensive.

ParticipantStill seems overpriced to me. $308/sq ft and looks like it needs some work.

ParticipantWhat pisses me off about this story is that they gambled on an interest only ARM to get a lower rate and lost.
But they are winners because they are going to get their interest rate FIXED at a rate that is lower than my 30 year fixed rate loan because I did the responsible thing and bought a house I could afford and didn’t gamble on rising rates.
Once again, the people who do the right thing are the losers and the irresponsible come out ahead….

ParticipantTypical liberal: spews a bunch of ad hominem attacks because he knows he has no defensible position from which to argue.
I have a suggestion for you and anyone else that thinks that we need to keep raising taxes and giving money to the ‘unfortunate’: open your checkbook and put your money where your mouth is.
I’d like to keep some of the money that I work for, thank you very much, rather than giving it to other people so they can be given the things I’ve worked several decades to finally earn for myself.
