ParticipantThank god we took those dirtbags out. Hopefully the US gets involved in more of these piracy events and they have the same outcome.

Participant
There was a cute small town, called Solvang (sp?) on the way to santa barbara. It’s a Danish styled small town, that had a few nice bed and breakfast places. If you can find lodging there, it’s a nice short trip. (Your kids might get bored).
SF for the weekend would probably be too much for you (especially if you have kids).
I grew up in Solvang π
It’s about 30 miles north of Santa Barbara. Lot’s of good wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley and several pretty good restaurants in Buellton, Solvang, Los Olivos and Santa Ynez.

Participant
I’m kind of surprised SDCCU is still around as I figured them for making all kinds of bad loans during the bubble.
Credit Unions are generally VERY conservative with their money. For years, SDCCU wouldn’t even approve me for a car loan and their mortgage rates are generally higher than other sources.

Participant
I think in CA, you’d also have to disclosed that there used to be a pool when you sell.
That would be news to me since after moving into my house my next door neighbor disclosed that there was a filled in pool in my backyard. Neither the RE agent or the previous owner made any mention of it.
