ParticipantMay be someone near retirement with no school-age children but still works near Qualcomm or UTC area and doesn’t want to make mortgage payments after retirement?
I am ready to close on a slightly larger house on Raven Ridge for way more than this (also back to Calle Cristobal but not at a corner). This Rimridge deal is giving me some reservations. But, I am sticking my deal. I like this area.
Someone got really lucky with that deal. Congrats to them. Someone with $360k in cash looking to buy in MM? Why would they do that?
ParticipantVery interesting data. I believe that the Federal govt, state govt, and a few unemployed people are having a hard time but for 90% of us it is quite good with low inflation and steadily rising income. Personally, I don’t know any one that wants to work that is not working.

ParticipantThe public employee unions financed Brown. Pay back time huh? There is zero chance that the voters go for the tax extension, unless the illegals can vote.
I think it is pretty safe to say that pRI- is a public employee or has relative who is.
”The pension system is a time bomb – I’ve brought this up many times. However the problems with the pension system do not impact the current budget. (It’s just our children that will bear this massive burden.)”
pRI-
“In the governor’s proposed budget, the state payment to CalPERS increases from $3.8 billion to $4.1 billion, CalSTRS from $1.3 billion to $1.4 billion, and retiree health care from $1.4 billion to $1.6 billion”
This does impact the budget and now it is impacting the State even more:http://calpensions.com/%5B/quote%5D
