ParticipantLost Cat,
Watching grass grow would be more entertaining, it changes much faster than the current market 🙁

ParticipantI too want to buy when the rent vs. buy makes sense. I might move from a house to a condo, but at least I can make some changes to it that suit me. I.E.- A nice screen door I can use during the summer months, motion sensing lights because it is very dark by my place. Better heater because the house is freaking cold during the winter. (probably would be better windows actually)

ParticipantI’m just looking to have a house.. 2 bedroom 1 bath with a garage and a tiny yard in a decent area. 3 bedrooms? Man.. I’d be living the high life

ParticipantExactly, a starter home here is jacked up, a starter home anywhere else is usually a nice place that is smaller. I have a buddy that bought a nice 3bd 2ba 1ga for 160k in the heart of milwaukee, a nice place.
For that price, I couldn’t even get a 1bd condo that was deserted and infested with rats

Participantis it me? Or does it seem like it’s harder to get a car loan than a loan for a house?

Participantwe’ve often thought of that but never did it, we have a tiny patio that couldn’t fit a potted plant but we have a really ugly front area. We have tossed around the idea of putting in some potted plants, but thought it would look tacky, perhaps we aren’t the decorators we thought we were.
We really want a fruit tree, being from WI, it would be great to have some kind of citrus tree.. I have to get one now!

ParticipantPoway seller,
Did you keep the plants in their pots, or did you plant them? My wife has a green thumb and I would love to hear what you have done because we could maybe do the same.
Thanks!

Participant“Young married couples should not be buying expensives houses. They should travel the world and have romance and fun. When you’re old you’ll appreciate the memories.”
Perry, you have a great outlook on life, I really enjoy your posts, and love your outlook on things.

ParticipantA lot of this is how much your parents are willing to work at it, or how much you are willing to be the hawk making sure they aren’t slipping
