Participant$100 is a tank of gas in your bimmer. You must be a w-2 guy. Employers eat $100 by the fistful for all the reasons mentioned just to keep moving forward. It will avg out in the long term. Keep current tenants happy and be glad their checks keep clearing. Raise it when they leave. +1 svelt moving out comment.

ParticipantSuppose you go for it. You diligently are working off the debt and she is now pregnant. And she wants to fix up the place ( nesting) You say, I don’t have the $ for a while due to her debt. Tensions mount and you now have a kid with her. Bad plan.
+100 to scardy
especially how we become our fathers and daughters mimic their moms. And, I don’t think you mentioned it or I missed it, but it didn’t sound like she has the ability or job potential to make a dent in this 90k. Strike 3.

ParticipantAlways trust your gut feeling. Which you did. Sleep well from now on. Soon you will come down from your your high, and say, ” damn, I dodged a pretty bullet”.

ParticipantWith your microinverters do you experience RF interference? Hum in the AM band?

ParticipantMaybe you could find yourself a spent .307 round or whatever, knock on his door and ask him to aim away from your side.

ParticipantEnjoy the camping now. Once they hit high school, it is a giant pia to get family time or vacation together.
Coaches, band, etc. all ‘require’ attendance for every practice or the kid will not play the next game. This is a 6 day a week schedule.

ParticipantBake some cookies and welcome them to the neighborhood! I’d be more worried about your wife or girlfriend getting jealous.

ParticipantYou are being stonewalled. They don’t want to hear your idea. I’m guessing your complex is ~500 units and the board doesn’t want the complaints and hassle of so many people. Might have better luck renegotiating the cable contract.

ParticipantI would skip doing the improvements yourself and pay a crew. One day, done.
Your time on the easement would now be limited to your transiting. Makes it harder for him to harass you.
But be prepared to when he parks some vehicle at the road entry blocking your access. You know, “it just ran out of gas” Maybe some sign notice is necessary: “Video recording in progress” and “Blocking Access will be towed at your expense”
Sounds like security cams would be prudent.

Participant
Why not spend and wait until the government bails you out?
Seems to be the going trend…
I know this is tounge and cheek, but he is employed. So no bailout. I wouldn’t be suprised for loan forgiveness for unemployed or taking a union/govenment job.

ParticipantI’m in the no debt camp as well. But another idea would make extra payments to principal. A tad late now as most of payments to date would be to interest, but by reducing principal you will feel better and close account sooner.

ParticipantThe 1986 LA Olympics made a profit under Peter Uberoff’s capitalistic plan. And still show off 🙂

And let me tell you this: odd, odd things get caught on video between 1 and 4 AM. Very odd indeed.
I was amazed how many skunks, raccoons are out and about at night. And how many strangers go door to door knocking ( casing ) for business and do not leave behind flyers.
