ParticipantEvery time I post about public unions a host of you jump on the “killing the middle class” bandwagon, but it is clear the San Diego Pension Managers apart from violating State and Federal law by failing to fund their pensions when benefits were increased have gambled away the bulk of the money on bad investments.
Pensions were clearly a way of hiring employees and paying less than market to begin with with the promise of “riches” later. A VERY expensive loan indeed, and a loan which is due and payable in full and more.
I can not see a viable end to this problem short of a new and even bigger real estate bubble in the very near future!!!

ParticipantMy mother worked at the State Department in Africa and my father a British telecom engineer, I was born in Africa and hold 4 original certificates of live birth and 2 passports.
This LEGAL issue with Obama was that his mother was apparently underage (17) at the time of his birth and thus he could ONLY gain eligibility to be a US citizen by birth. I personally would not be surprised as a baby if Obama was not far away in Kenya and if he holds a rather wide and not too tall cert from Kenya.
His wife referred to Obama’s “home town” in Kenya and Kenya has provided a certificate of live birth, so what is the big deal?

ParticipantI have found that any time a commodity takes off and increases suddenly it is soon followed by a big correction. I sold my silver at 37.50 and of course it is now at $42, but either way unless silver oxide batteries are just around the corner and the metal will suddenly have a huge demand I doubt it will hold over the next month. But take that with some salt it is only my $0.02
