OT: Maybe this is a dumb question

but- if one of your parents is an American citizen, even if you are born in a foreign country, doesn’t that make you an American citizen and eligible to be president? McCain born in Panama-right? I’m just wondering why Trump and the media keep blathering on about Obama’s missing birth certificate. Is it just for ratings or is there an actual argument to be made?
