ParticipantThe owner of the bird lived in Neenach, about 30 miles from PMC, the bird was flying from near San Francisco back home. They take about 30 birds from each owner with a total of up to 3000 racers and then drop them off somewhere. Each bird has two bands, an ID band and one that gets scanned as they make it back to their coop. Then they figure out what bird actually wins the race.

ParticipantDon’t tell me that Andromeda Strain and Westworld were not real?

Participant

I’m sure everyone is shocked in disbelief. Deputies accused of deleting one of the videos
NSR: The question is, does the Bakersfield DA go after these deputies for obstruction of justice, witness intimidation and ADW/Murder?
The 2 phones have been returned to the lawyer of the owners. The TV report did not say if anything was deleted.

Participant
Or maybe not everybody is brainwashed by sensationalist media.
Again, still nobody has provided a single example of am American tourist being kiled in Baja so I assume the “getting back alive” comment is sarcasm.
http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2011/06/americans_killed_baja_mex.php
One of killed was an American down in Rosarito with his family, his kids saw their father killed.

Participant
And again where is the proof that it has gotten worse?
North of Ensenada, Rosarito Beach saw roughly a 70 percent drop in U.S. visitors from 2005 to 2010, said Hugo Torres, owner of the hotel and the city’s former mayor. For the first time in years, the downward trend was reversed, he said, as his hotel registered a 17 percent increase in Americans in 2011 over 2010.Looks like most people really don’t care if you can get back from your trip to Baja, alive…..

ParticipantI can see the slogan now, “Visit Baja, your chances of being murdered cannot be proven”

Participant
As I have before, I challenge somebody to provide a link to an actual case. Last time I challenged the piggs to do this the crickets were chriping loudly.
You can continue your trips to Baja DZ, but your continued denial of what is going on down there can bring harm to others. Here is a link, I am sure you will make some excuse about it:

This is the last part of the article:
Chris: Even Tyler still talks about the happy times… still talks about his favorite burrito shop.
Divinia: There were so many times that were good that completely outweigh the bad.
Chris: I know we’ve lost Mexico and we won’t go back… and we’ll leave it at that.
Divinia: It’s just gonna have to be something that was once upon a time for us…
Mexican authorities never investigated the Hall kidnapping.
In 2008, more than 1,000 kidnappings were reported in Mexico; at least 65 of those ended in death.
Desmo writes: Nobody wants to report it, victims, press, tourism departments, etc. The victims just want to get home and never go back.

ParticipantYou would think it is April Fools day not Cinco De Mayo reading the Prof’s post. Read this blog for a couple of weeks, try and watch some of the videos that are real and worse than any “Saw” movie you have ever seen, and make your own mind up. The press has just given up reporting drug cartel crime, to many reporters have been killed.

I am very serious about this, some of the videos are gruesome and will stay in your head, be very careful.

ParticipantI don’t think the jazzmans/women really care that much about any real outcome on this issue. As long as they can put others down, show how much superior they are and get that final insult in they will just fade away and move to another issue.

Participant“Does the right to bear arms over-ride the right to live in a peaceful, and safe environment? If you answer in the affirmative, it may be that you either lack a sympathetic imagination, have sociopathic tendencies, or are ignorant by virtue of not having direct experience with the consequences”
Yes, yes, you are the Jazzman. Pathetic.

Participant

What happened? Really now. You will never be able to scream and demand gun control (a la POS Morgan). All the belittling, emails, stats, celebrities, etc, are just a waste of time. And I think they just are feel good measures not to accomplish anything but look at me actions.
I don’t believe this to be true in every instance. Piers Morgan stepped over the line as a foreigner telling the US how to run its country, but his reaction is a natural one coming from a country that does not have the same gun culture. Keeping the debate alive for as long as possible is tactical, not (just) theater. I personally laud anyone with the courage to ask the questions that so many are either fearful of asking, or don’t wish to become unpopular by asking, or worse, didn’t know they should ask.
Laud all you want. The problem is what does somebody like PM actually know about guns? From what I hear from him-nothing. If needed changes are to be made, and they need to be, loud mouth know-it-alls need to change their approach, as I said above. btw, that is not “courage” and it demeans the real people with actual courage.

Participant
I guess it was only a matter of time before video’s like this one appeared on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wpu6_kArb9U%5B/quote%5D
So I watched this video and a few more that were “over to the right” on the youtube page. Then I was watching CNN showing “see how a pressure cooker bomb works” and I noticed the guy in that video is wearing the same clothes as the guys in one of the “over to the right” videos..
