CoronitaParticipant"Sounds like a bitter lady to me. So much for family values."
Sounds like you don't understand! Sounds like a bitter appraiser to me! When outta no where you resort to name calling. Grow up.
windmaker3 and ll,
Personally, no offense. But let's take this in context.
We have a massive fire in San Diego, 500,000+ people evaced, lots of people that are going to lose their home…And not only are you talking about folks losing their homes via overstretched financing, you're actually gloating over it. I mean, you're taking the time to talk to you "neighbor" that this point in time is pretty trivial..And on top of that actually gloating right now at their misfortunes.
….I don't know about the rest of folks here…But that seems pretty tasteless to me. Hope you folks never have a family issue. Because I'm sure others will be laughing their ass off of you too. I can talk, because during this fire, I hosted roughly 10 families, some of which I barely know until I myself got evaced. Frankly, although I don't wish any harm/calmity on either of you, I definitely hope I'm not dumb enough to ever help folks like you if you are ever in need.I'm sure I'm much younger than both of you. But who needs to grow up? Never mind.
'nough said.

CoronitaParticipantFolks,
The last I checked is that the Witch fire has now moved near Fairbanchs Ranch (approach). Del Mar residencesy residence are being asked to evac.
As I posted on another thread, I have evaced from Carmel Valley and now am in Los Angeles. As such, I cannot provide any additional updates beyond what I can read from UT.
I left CV around 7:30pm, and traffic I-5 northbound was fine. The smoke was modereate think near I-5/56 area, but seemed to be less when we got to carlesbad. Then, it got really heavy right before camp pendelton. And dropped off as we approached the checkpoint. Traffic was fine I-5 northbound.
If you are near any areas currently being evaced but haven't been asked to evac, and you haven't started to pack, please do yourself a favor and start packing.
If you're frantic, and need some suggestions on what to take, take a look here

Also, if you aren't living alone, have someone stay up watching the news all night (take turns). You and your family's safety is worth the restless night.
I wish the best of luck and safety for all of you. Although I am not pious, I will definitely wish the best for all of you tonight. Good luck and safe travel wherever you folks are going.

CoronitaParticipantMy understanding is that if you are on the west side of 5 between 56 and 78, it's an expanded evac now. This includes del mar.
